Bought this recently and am very satisfied with it. Although I cannot comment on longevity, I see no reason why it wouldn't last for years with regular usage if maintained well. It is VERY quiet. Preparation for first time usage is simple. Instructions in operators manual are very fragmented with an overkill of warnings about "don't do this or you may die" but if you are able to read thru this, all of the important information is there. Instructions for first time use include adding .6 L (the total capacity of engine oil) of 10w-30 motor oil. The oil provided is in a .6 L bottle and instructions say to pour entire bottle into oil fill reservoir. Makes sense, except when I did this, it over-filled the reservoir a bit and oil overflowed, which I had to quickly take care of. I'm assuming this is because of residual oil used for testing at the factory that was not entirely drained before shipping. Also, the serial number of this machine is nowhere to be found ON THE MACHINE. It is a sticker on the outside of the box. I spent some time searching for this by removing panels off the machine only to find nothing, and to resort to searching the website for "location of serial number". Overall - GREAT generator and I'd buy again. Highly recommended.

Unit came complete with very well written instruction. There are two small problems for people like me with big hands. The oil fill location is difficult at best and the extendable handle is a little less robust than i would like. Overall ... very good buy

I purchased in August 2021 to augment my on board rv generator that was having issues (1997 generac). I plan on using in camp for hunting. I have been using over a month now and this unit was the talk in camp. One guy had the honda 3000 and was considering selling his and buying this unit. It has remote start, more powerful, just as quiet and comes with wheels, that the honda did not. I am at the 23 hr point and am changing the oil today (recommended is 25 hrs-close enough). I did put on the high altitude kit because I use it at 7000 ft. Runs awesome. The kit was a bit of a pain to put on. Could not find a good westinghouse video for installation of the high altitude kit. Onan has a good video and the units are nearly identical. Onan costs about 20-25% more.

Unit works good for what we will be using it for. Will run everything on my 5th wheel trailer we need on at a time. Very quiet unit. The only bad thing, I can say is about the filling and changing the oil is a pain. Hard to see how much oil your putting in the unit. To change the oil, the unit must be tipped. If you spill the oil ends up in areas which make it hard to clean up and drips onto the ground. You would've thought engineers or designers would've done a better job

Quicker than advertised shipping. Would not start out of the box until I connected the automatic choke wire that everyone mentions comes loose during shipping. 10 minutes of pulling panels, connecting the loose connection and putting panels back on and it ran really well. Very impressed with initial quality. More power for considerably less money than a Honda.

Bought this about a week ago and so far, really great. Starts right up, runs very quiet and has the power needed. Only issue is changing the oil could be a little less messy. Should have a funnel system going to the hole. Other than that couldn't be more pleased. Time will tell!

We purchased this unit last month. It was delivered in a timely manner, all parts were there, and it looked great. We put some fuel into it and it ran perfectly. So far the only sad point for me is the weight of the unit. I am in my seventies and not so strong as I used to be so picking this generator or any generator this size up does not work for me. I purchased a pick up truck rack hoist to lift the generator in and out of my truck. Problem solved. I have no complaints as of this date.

Just got this today and tried it out. Everything worked ok. There was some corrosion on the tank when we went to put gas in it and there was gas in it (probably from testing at the factory). People have complained about this and that some won't start because of the choke is stuck (wire comes loose apparently). Do a YouTube search on how to fix it...seems easy. Other than the bit of corrosion it is ran our camper trailer's 15k btu air conditioner, microwave, TV, water pump, and lights all at the same time at 75%. All we are likely to need at any one time. It is quite for a generator, so ok for running the ac unit during the day. Any night use people would probably give us some dirty looks.

The generator performs very well. The location where the oil has to be checked and filled is very hard to access. You sometimes have to lay on the ground to get the plug back in. The battery cover and the oil access cover fall off too easily. Even when you're moving the generator you find them lying on the ground

It starts super fast even with the remote. So quiet, like you don’t even know it’s running. Great on gas, runs 21 hours on a tank with 1 ton mini split plugged into it. This is my second one and if needed I will purchase another one. Great product !!!!
