I just purchased this unit after spending considerable time comparing what was available in the inverter generator market and I have to say I'm pleased with my choice! The package comes with everything you need to get going except fuel. Initial set up was a breeze. After I unpacked the generator I think I had it up and running in well under 5 minutes. Once it was running I was amazed by how quiet is was for a generator of this size. Next I proceeded to test it with my camping trailer and it was able to remotely start it over 30' away and then simultaneously power the AC and the microwave without any indication that it was working hard at all.

A lot quieter than expected. Ran great out of the bow once fuel, oil and battery connection taken care of as outlined in startup guide. I don’t know if these generators are pre-tested at factory. The gas fill was wet with fuel and oil dip stick had oil on it. There was no sign of use on tires or any where else. Pleased so far.

I just received the iGen 4500 today and it was very easy to set up. Add oil, add gas, hook up battery and started with remote on first try. It's very quiet, I plugged in a belt sander and it didn't make a difference in sound. It says "auto rotating display" but it's not, you have to press a little button on display to go through the functions. I will be putting it under more load with the RV soon. Pros; Easy start, Quiet, easy to understand display Cons; Display does not auto rotate (not a big deal but it says it is).

I did a lot of research before selecting the IGen4500 for use with my travel trailer. The first time I used it was in the mountains at an altitude of 8,500 feet. It ran great without any problems at this higher altitude. I am so happy and very satisfied with this generator. I highly recommend it!

i just received my igen 4500. the instructions were simple to follow. The best part of this was the generator started on the first touch of the remote. The generator is a little heavy for a 63 year old to carry. Well, the built in handle for rolling the generator came in handy. Great product.

Product is as described. Had issues with the auto choke function initially. Thankfully I found a service bulletin online. Seems the wiring can jar lose during shipment which affects the electronics. Fortunately I'm mechanically inclined and was able to reconnect the wiring following the service notice. Once done the gen works nicely. Would suggest this element of the equipment be modified to reduce shipping failure point.

Got the IGEN4500 yesterday. I have not started it yet. Everything else seems to be ok. Battery was not where it was supposed to be had to move it in potion. Side panel had a little damage one of the screws broken off on the backside of the side panel. I glued it back on and it held. Cant wait to see how it operates with our camper.

Great so far, no complaints. Very good on "fuel mileage", pretty darn quiet. I can power my RV and then some. I would recommend to anyone wanting to spend a few extra bucks knowing you get the long run time per tank, more than plenty of power, nice and quiet, and knowing you don't have to worry about hurting your delicate electronics.

Likes- Easy set up and break in, I like how it comes with a screw on funnel for the oil no mess or over filling. Absolutely love the remote on/off feature. As we do a lot of dry camping with cold mornings Love the large fuel take as it runs several hours without having to refuel, It is extremely quiet on eco mode. I really like the digital display. I bought this in June and used for the 1st time over the July 4th. Issues during 1st use. went dry camping used for about 4 hrs. to run our AC to cool off the RV ran fine no issues after turning it off for about 3 hrs. when I started it back up it acted like it was lacking power, then the red overload light came on even though nothing was hooked up. i removed side panel to access the carb thinking maybe the choke was stuck that seemed fine, I drained all the fuel thinking bad gas nope, it got dark so I called it a night. Next morning I started it back up ( it starts right up just no power ) I try everything can think of, fuel, air filter, spark plug all seem fine as I am listening to it run I notice and hear a hissing sound coming from the exhaust I noticed a screen over the exhaust and think ok maybe it is plugged as I go to remove the screen it has a larger funnel screen inside ( i assume it is a spark arrester ?) it is completely caked in black soot ( not sure why after just 4 hrs of use) I remove the whole thing firepit up runs perfect. 2nd Issue is this will not start in the cold mornings, ( choke I believe is not operating properly ) I have to remove the side panel every morning to move the choke manually to get it to start. I now will be contacting Westinghouse to take it in to get it fixed. I will let you know how that process goes.

Please note! We got ours to run our 50 amp RV camper trailer when dry camping during deer season and are having issues with it revving up for no reason. We are still trying to figure out this issue but when speaking with Westinghouse customer service we were told this inverter may be too small for our camper - even though we are only running 30 amps, not the full 50. I do like the remote start and quiet running of the machine.
