[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just replaced my furnace this last month and decided to go with the new upgraded system that included a 4" filter. Due to where I live and having open fields by my home my filter gets dirty very quickly with the wider filter I do not have to change the filter as often as the smaller one.

I did buy this a few months ago because I like to have them on hand when needed. I buy this even though the guy who worked on my furnace and replaced the blower motor said not to use these filters. He said they were the cause of the blower motor going out, because they would have to work to hard and need replaced. But these filters, I believe, do what they are suppose to. I have dog's and these filters help me breath better when the air conditioner for summer or heater for winter.

Filtrete is the only air filter I trust and of the options available, this is the best. With a dog in the house and a great need to keep the air clean, this is my go-to purchase. I change it regularly and am always please with how much dander, hair, dog hair and dust it collects! While this might not be *advised* by 3M, when putting the filter in I add a couple drops of my favorite Young Living Essential Oils to help the whole house smell great!

I am happy with the performance of this filter. However although it slides into the box easily, it is hard to remove. It would be nice to have cutouts in the cardboard for finger holds. It is also hard to remove; it is almost as if it expands. I am afraid I will damage the wires in my furnace as I remove it. It comes out in a few pieces.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is absolutely the best air filter I have found for my home. We had some minor construction in our kitchen, Sheetrock, taping and sanding. Dust was everywhere. Installed one of these Filtrete Healthy living filters and the air quality improved within minutes. I change my filter every season, the Healthy Living filters trap so much dust, dander and who knows what else. Great product worth the price!

We have a shih 'tzu dog and a siamese cat. Although shih 'tzu's don't really shed and have to be groomed, they still have dander. We switched from the basic, inexpensive furnace filter to the Filtrete Allergen Reduction filter when our son started showing symptoms of allergies. We feel better knowing this filter can trap smaller particles that could cause breathing problems, especially while he sleeps. Our dog is all over the house, so we know he could be distributing dander everywhere. But our cat sleeps most of the day, so we don't think he contributes much to poor air quality, except when he uses the litter box. When the Filtrete filter is removed, it's easy to see what it has trapped, because the media is gray, compared to the pure white of a new one. What a great feeling to know those particles are stuck to the Filtrete filter and not inside our family's lungs.

I was using the regular version of filters and they worked but weren't the best for our house. I switched to the healthy living ultra allergy filters and they have helped so much! I live in the desert with two large dogs, a husband with lots of allergies and tons of dirt and dust! These are definitely helping a lot more! It feels good knowing I am helping my family stay healthier!

My wife has had "4" open heart surgeries, 2nd pace-maker defibultor so the quality of the air in our home is very important to us. We use Filtrete filters. They are an excellent product to say the very least. We keep a spotless home and change the air filters every 3 months. I am amazed how much they catch dust, pollens etc. as our home has been taken care of meticulously. It amazes us, again as our home is very clean. The filters do an exceptional job in clean the air. My only wish they be more responsible in price but it is what it is. Thank you for making sure a wonderful product. Just wished they are a little more reasonable in price.

Filter says 16x25x4 but it is actually 4.25 thick! Does not fit in my furnace which is exactly 4.0" This is an extremely frustrating problem and every store carries the new 4.25 filter and apparently nobody makes or carries the old 3.75's anymore. I could cram a 4" in there but not one thats 4.25. Trust me, I tried.

I've been using pleated 3M filters in my furnaces since I built my home in 1996 . I have gradually upgraded to higher MPR ratings as they have become available and am now using the 2800 healthy living filter in both of my systems . I'm extremely happy with this product and both subjective and objective findings suggest that these are high-efficiency filters . As an allergy sufferer I've noticed greatly diminished symptoms and moreover surface dust on furniture is much reduced . I also have a Dylos particulate counter that confirms much reduced dust levels. I was initially concerned that the 2800 filter would clog more readily and need more frequent replacement then the lower rated filters . This has not been the case however , as airflow remains excellent which attests to the high capacity of these filters .
