My boyfriend never can tell the difference and always think I made it myself over the stove for 30 min.

We usually eat Bens rice but had never tried the ready rice until now. The Spanish style is so good. I made it to eat with fajitas and it is so good. Even with a picky eater I didn't have any complaints about the peppers. The flavor is so good and taste homemade. Cooking it is very easy and fast by just throwing it in the microwave so it cuts down on dishes as well. It's an all around win with Ben's ready rice.

All you do is break up the rice a bit, slit the bag a little and heat it in the microwave until it's hot. It has a good flavor with the seasonings in it already. I thought it was a bit dry but you can add whatever you think to fix that. I added a drizzle of oil to help with that. So fast and simple you have some good rice to eat.

All of the wonderful aroma was completely lost in the taste. And the texture left a bit to be desired. This was almost gummy, it had a weird chew to it. I do like the larger size, normally when I buy this microwaveable style rice, I have to buy multiples, but the family size is convenient. Not enough of a saving grace though, as no one in my house would eat it.

It really saves time and allows for a lot of versatility. You could take these camping, use in dorms, it's wonderful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a microwave rice, this was average. It was dry, so it would make a good base for a bowl ( which is what we did) or in a burrito, but plain, it's dry. It also smelled somewhat funky. It had decent flavor though.
