We have purchased two sets of four over the last couple of years and have had no issues with them breaking. They are flexible and larger than normal making them quite comfortable. They seem to be holding up well and we use them regularly.

I got 4 of these to have handy for guests. They are great. Sturdy, fold up nicely and do support heavy people quite well. I have one friend who doesn't like the flex feeling but I actually find them pretty comfortable for long sitting.

For a plastic chair, these chairs are very comfortable and sturdy. Can use outdoors or indoors. Even my 10 year old nephew said it was so comfortably that he didn't want to get up and wanted to take it home. LOL!
