Nice sturdy chairs for being so lightweight.

I liked these chairs enough to buy bulk. We intend to use these chairs for our youth room at church, which means we need multi purpose, sturdy chairs that can be picked up and taken outside/inside easily, easy to clean and won't show stains. These chairs do all of the above. I do need to register one complaint that seems simple enough to fix for Mity Lite. This was enough of a bother to me to consider repurchasing these chairs. A Green sticker comes on the front side of the chair back rest. That green sticker is really difficult to get off of the chair, even if you peel it away carefully and slowly. I purchased the bulk 40 count of the chairs and have to go through each individual chair, scraping off sticker residue (picture included). It just kind've lessens the excitement of a new purchase to have to scrape it meticulously. If you guys could figure this out - you'd have a great product and a 5 star review from me.

Has replaced 'traditional' adjustable office chair

This thing is great. After growing tired of replacing traditional adjustable, swiveling office style chairs when they start to wear out after a few months (start creaking, making cracking noises etc) I bought the realizing that I don't need any of the features that cause the more expensive and traditional desk chairs to wear out. The silence from almost no moving parts remains after a year. I did manage to break one of the bottoms but then again I was standing on it and generally acting foolishly. The interesting thing is that after splitting the bottom open it is still usable and possibly even more comfortable. Can't go wrong here, just don't stand on it with one foot (it is quite obviously not designed for this).

Wonder chair!

This is a remarkable new style of chair design. It is very strong and the company advertises it supports over 1000 lbs. Hubby and I don't weigh near that much, but we do present a major challenge to ordinary casual furniture. Plus, the old metal seats on chairs are hard to sit on - this new chair has a "hammock" type of seat pan. The chair is indeed strong and we both felt secure when sitting in ours. At the low price, we can use it for picnics, fishing, outdoor activities. The chairs also look good enough to serve indoors too. We also went back and bought some to give family members.

It broke

I have 3 of these chairs. The one that I used the most I have had it about 1 year. This morning I go to sit down and where the seat attaches to the frame it cracked and gravity took over and down I went. I weigh around 230 lbs and this should not have happened. It has been inside so there should have been no degradation due to sunlight. I have a decent scrape on the left side of my back and just a little bit of blood. I am glad it happened to me instead of my 76 year old father because I doubt he would have gotten up so fast. I will be taking this into my local Sam's Club on Monday. I really liked the chair until it broke, now I have two other ones that I use and am suspect of them. The only thing I use them for is sitting while I watch TV because my couch is in such sad shape. Wonderful Chairs

I purchased 250 of these chairs for our brunch. The customers were wowed by the strength and quality. Had one customer about 400 lbs and he said it was the first time he's sat in a folding chair that he felt safe. Great look. Several customers asked where they could buy them.

Saved my furniture!

Heavy family members and guests have broken down my sofa cushions and dining room chairs. A friend suggested this chair and it is perfect! I bought several for those special guests and invite them to sit in comfort and safety. I like them also. Win-win situation! And good value. They are much more expensive elsewhere.

Horrible!!!

I purchased 32 of these chairs for my classroom. They are used less than 6 hours a day. Out of the 32 chairs, 10 were broken within the first year and after 2 years, nearly all of my chairs are split down the middle. I had to raise my own money to purchase these chairs for my classroom and now 2 years later I am having to start all over again.

Best Chairs Ever

I am the Admin/facilities director for a church in the Denver area. we purchased these chairs for our auditorium and through out the building. At first I was skeptical of a "plastic folding chair" as our main seating in our auditorium but we got a couple of samples from a partner church to try out...i was totally sold. These are very comfortable, larger seat and back, hold 1000lbs and are waterproof! Great for taking outside or doing baptisms. We have furnished our entire campus with them and will be purchasing more in the future for all our campuses.

Disappointing

Our organization has purchased 120 of these chairs just a little over a year ago. I am currently looking to replace them. Of those 120 chairs I have thrown out probably 25 or more, over 20%. Yes, they are lightweight, but the reason is that the seats and back are kind of a soft plastic grid. Consequently, the seat literally tears. It rips from hole to hole like you were tearing a piece of Swiss cheese. Once this happens there is nothing you can do with them except throw them out. It's usually the seat that tears, but I've had a couple where the back has torn.

most comfortable folding chair I've ever sat on

I picked up 6 of these at my local Sam's club. I was shopping with my daughter (12) who is petite. I'm a 2XL size guy and we both sat in the chair. We both thought it was the most comfortable folder chair we've sat in. We live in Honolulu, so the slats in the seat and back are welcomed for supreme airflow. Originally, I was looking for some aluminium chairs due to our salty air here in Hawaii (things rust here faster), but I decided to take the chance on the steel construction of these chairs. It's still relatively light weight but plenty sturdy and the powder coating on the steel should help it resist the elements and hopefully keep it free of rust for some time. I installed a rack system in my garage to hang them on the wall when not in use. They stack pretty thinly which is a big plus.
