Will it brew or NOT?

I purchased my first mini brewer (K15) in Aug 2012. It worked well for almost four years with 2 users. It was replaced in Nov 2016 when the top broke off. Our second mini performed well without incident approximately, again, 4 years. In Dec 2020 I purchased my last SLIM mini brewer and have been having trouble with it for a more than six months. It inconsistently works; it resumes working after different "fixes" but does NOT last. I clean it according to the directions provided by Keurig. It works maybe a day or two. I unplug it and plug it back it, it works for a couple of cups. I add more water and sometimes that works, but then water overflows in the mug and fills the tray. I have even just said the "___" with it and walked away and then 20 minutes later it starts brewing. This unit has lasted less than 2 years and is only used by one person - me. My adult children actually brought me a larger version keurig but I prefer the mini as the water is fresh each time and takes us minimal space on my kitchen counter. In addition, I am constantly having to remove water from the slot where the removable water tray is located. I thought this was a singular problem with my brewer only, but then I read so many reviews similar to mine. There seems to be problems in the design of the newer models.

Can't expect it to last forever

There's no doubt these little single serve makers brew a great cup of coffee that is HOT. (my main concern, I can't stand warm coffee) In fact , I'll microwave it a couple of times while I'm drinking it, because i like it hot. That in itself is my top reason for liking this maker. I think brewing tempurature is why coffee comes out good or bad for the most part, and this one brews good and hot. After about 3 months it started acting up though and what was going on was when I dropped the lever down and mash the button it would pump for a few seconds and stop. I would lift the lever/handle up and drop it down and it would pump for a few more seconds. I would have to repeat this until all the water was sucked out of the reservoir and the light stayed on. Sometimes it would work correctly for several brews and eventually start acting up again. It wasn't a big deal but after a few months I contacted Keurig and they replaced it , no problem. I think I may have read a review that had this same issue. Hopefully they have fixed the problem. I love this coffee maker. I drink a lot of coffee. As many as 10 cups a day and I don't expect this machine to last forever so I purchased the extended warranty. I've never had any coffee maker last more than a couple of years so the extra $4 and change will probably keep me in coffee makers for years to come. And that's fine because this one brews great coffee.

Works when it feels like it.

It looks like I am having similar issues with this product that some of the other 1 star reviews have. Occasionally the unit works without a hitch (1x out of 5). What typically goes on is, it takes 5 - 6 x of turning it off and on to draw all of the water out of the bath, heat it and finally make coffee. The only reason I did not return this is I bought the K - Mini pre Christmas and didn't use it until sometime in January. By that time I lost the receipt and just decided to keep this annoying product. Unlikely I will ever by another.

Overall great !

I love how lightweight it is and doesn’t take up too much space. Super easy to use and brews coffee within minutes. I really like that it has a cord storage and K cups storage as well. Have been enjoying it everyday since receiving it. I want to thank Influenster for sending me it for testing purposes. All opinions & thoughts are my own.

This lousy product keeps getting worse as I use it

I have to keep adding water and disconnect it from the power outlet several times before it decides to follow directions and make a cup of coffee. My worse experience with a consumer product! I would give this product zero stars but one star is the minimum!

Works, but sputters owl noises

This product has been working for about 3 months, it brews coffee to my liking. However, it makes a terrible owl screeching noise for 10-30 minutes, sometimes longer, after brewing. Apparently this is common, and there is nothing you can do but throw it out the darn window.

Hi Brian, we appreciate your review and feedback. This is considered expected behavior for the K-Mini Plus coffee maker. Even after the brewer has been turned off or unplugged, heat will still be present inside the hot water tank. This heat causes the air to expand and forces it out of the brewer. The noise you are hear is likely air flowing through the hole that regulates brew pressure.

I absolutely love this coffee maker! I don’t drink coffee a lot in a day so this single serve is perfect for me. I’m not having water sit in the machine for days because I only maybe have a cup every other day, having this maker I can put in the water I need and make a cup. This coffee maker is the perfect size as well, it doesn’t take up a lot of room wherever you decide to put it. I would highly recommend this coffee maker.

Do Not Buy - Was this product BETA tested?

Genuinely, this is just a poorly made product. Coffee dispenses lukewarm and more like apple juice color. Water dispensing and drips inconsistently and randomly. Water sprays out of lid when opening even when turned off. After owning several Keurig products I am genuinely surprised at the lack of quality. If I didn’t buy it from the retailer and validate the SN# myself, I would think this was a knockoff. While I didn’t expect it to have all the features of the unit in my house, I thought it would be more akin to the model they have at some Marriotts that lack all the features but works well. This device is just poorly made and executed. Period.

I just bought this baby about a month ago, I got the mini one because I don't want to fill so much space in the kitchen. This is a super amazing product at an amazing price. When you buy this, you won't be able to live without it. It has so many different coffee flavors you can try with this. Definitely recommend this. Like honestly, if you love coffee you need this in your life!

Fun and Easy to use!!

This would be my first ever Keurig coffee maker and couldn’t be any happier. This coffee maker makes it easy for me to quickly make my cup of coffee without having to hassle with anything besides adding water and placing a Kcup. Since I’m also the only one who drinks coffee at my home I don’t have to worry about making a lot. I’m glad that I was able to test this complementary product. I don’t know what I would do with out it.
