Not what I expected

The portabel bed was very easy to set up. You just unfold it and it is ready. I am not pleased with how the bed slept for my average size 5 year old son. It sags in the middle from head to toe. It has no support whatsoever. I had to place two pillows under his blanket just for him to lie level. I am disappointed for the money that I spent on it.

Very easy to set up

I have a 21 month old that no longer wanted to sleep in her pack and play when we travel (and honestly I was tired of lugging it around). The cot is so much easier to travel with and ALOT easier to set up. It's very nice quality, lightweight and very sturdy. I like that she can crawl all over it, on and off of it, and it doesn't wobble and I don't have to worry about it flipping over with her. We often use it at home for naps. And I've found that it is serving as a good transition between the crib and getting ready for a big bed. The only thing that I didn't really care for is that you can kind of feel the support bars when lying on it. I cut a foam mattress and that made it very comfortable. My daughter loves it.

great bed

This bed is great! We purchased for my son(4year old) for camping, and he used it for 2 weeks before we even went bc he liked it more than his bed that he had at the time. perfect for camping. We also use it for the times he wants to sleep in our room due to storms or bad dreams. just set it up next to our bed. quick and convenient.

Don't hesitate to buy this cot!

We bought this based on the reviews and it did not disappoint! This is a great travel bed. We bought two for our twins on our recent trip from DC to Florida, where we stayed at four different places. It was nice for them to have consistent beds no matter where we were. They slept through the night each night too! Since we were tight on space I did not bring a blanket to put between the cot and provided cover (recommended by many reviewers) and they were fine with the comfort. Crib/toddler mattresses are hard so they are used to sleeping on a more firm surface. I will be recommending this to anyone traveling with young kids!

My Cot

I bought this for my grandson to use when he visits. It is a great price and quick and easy. The only thing that would make it better would be maybe a little padding. It is not an issue now while he is small, but I expect to have to add some when he is a little bigger. Overall, great price and value.

Awesome Travel Cot! Redesigned and Improved!

I bought two of these (one in pink and one in blue). Both products are identical except for the color. I had read some negative reviews about a support strip sewn across that made the cots uncomfortable. The cots i bought were made in Oct 2011 and had been redesigned and fixed! Now there are two "x"s sewn across that do NOT cause discomfort. Both my 4.5 year old daughter and 5.5 year old son slept on these with no complaints. Just the cot, sleeping bag, and pillow. In fact, they asked if they could sleep on them once we got home as well, lol. The 5 year old is tall for his age, but since he sleeps slightly curled up, this should last him another year or two. The 4 year old in the picture is average size and you can see she has plenty of room. These were so great for hotel travel so the kids did not have to share a bed! Bonus was they pack up fast, easy, small and light! This is a great buy at a great price!

Clarification on middle strap complaint + review

I'm a big reader of reviews, I find you can never trust the star rating especially since people sometimes rate things they don't own "5 stars - this looks really cute!", or give things 1 star because they can't read the description. I already owned one of these and was contemplating buying one for my daughter. Our existing one has the strap in the center, and manufacture date of OCT-2010. After reading the reviews, I was confused because some state "the older one was better" and visa versa, so I wasn't sure which was the newer model, but decided to risk it and buy a second one. I picked up a second one at my local Walmart in blue, and was happy to see that the strap has been REMOVED in the newer models, this particular one had a manufacture date of SEP-2012. We then ordered another one in pink for my daughter. Happily when it arrived at the store, it also had a 2012 date, and was of the newer design. If you purchase one and it has the strap across the center, return it and see if you can exchange it for a newer one. (Walmart was happy to return my older blue one for me.) The manufacture date is on a sticker on the outside of the box. So to clarify, the company has updated this product and improved upon it. No more annoying middle strap. ----------- After having purchased three of these in total, I have to say my kids (2 & 3) LOVE them. We purchased a Foam Mattress Topper in a Full, cut it in half, and put it under the fitted sheet for extra comfort. Well worth the $11 it cost at Walmart. The kids nap on them, relax and watch TV on them, even stopped hopping into bed with us at night, and instead will sleep on these in our bedroom. They refuse to let me put them away. We're headed on a 20 hour car trip next month and have differing accommodations, so these cots will work perfectly for the cabin, house, and hotel room. This is an excellent purchase, and it's a great value for the money. I am so glad I risked buying a second (and third) one to find that the design has been modified.

Loved it again!

I bought the blue one 2 years ago, and then recently bought the pink one. I really like these cots, they fold up easy for travel and my 3 year old can set it up herself. She really loves her cot for travel, and sometimes even likes to use it at home watching movies :) Perfect for traveling, overnight trips to Grandmas, Daycare, etc. And they don't take up a lot of space :)

LIFE SAVER!!!

purchase this cot about A month ago for my 2 year old to have a sleep over with her aunt. My baby is a really bad sleeper and is in need of her own space at bedtime, so sharing a bed was out of the question. I found this online, read some of the reveiws and decided to try it. The cot was very sturdy & lightweight, easy to open & close. The padding was minimal, but I just added a blanket & pillow and she was fine.

The cot worked out great for a trip we had with our 2.5 year old. the only issue I saw was that the piece in the middle seemed to not hang at the same level as the fabric of the cot but we are hoping as our son uses it more it will stretch. He slept great on it every night and did not fall out at all. I would buy this again, I also got a nap mat to go with it to make the bed really special for him while we were away from home.
