great travel bed

Saw this in a "kid-specialty" magazine and it looked really useful so looked it up on Google and saw that Walmart carried it for about 1/2 the price and decided to try it. My son loves that he's out of the pack and play and can get out to go to the bathroom on his own. We used it at the hotel (no more $6/night charge for pack and play) and then he used it at Grandma's house. We'll use it for friend's kids at our house and have already got our money's worth after our Christmas vacation. Great product, super easy, very simple to pack along.

It worked well, and was inexpensive!

Bought this to use as the bed for a 2.5 year old while on vaction. It's compact, needs no assembly, and worked well. There is one small detail to consider, however. It will need some sort of a pad or mattress, as it's just a nylon surface. Not a big deal, but if you buy it, plan on this too. Hey, it's basically a camping cot for toddlers. It worked, I'm satisfied with it, and the low cost made it perfect for my needs!

Cheap

I ordered 4 of these cots for my daycare because the reviews made me believe that they were a good product. ALL 4 cots broke after only a few usages by 3 year olds just from getting in or getting out, not jumping or standing on. The plastic pieces which hold them up off the ground are what failed on this product. They should not be plastic nor should this part of the cot be in pieces. This should be build with metal or a one piece mechanism. After the first one broke I thought maybe that one was just a bad one but no, all of them are now broken and none of them were misused.

Disappointed in uncomfortable design

We bought this for my 20 month old daughter to use on an upcoming trip. She loved the concept as it was very similar to what she is used to at daycare. The quality seemed good but we wound up returning it since the center support of the canvas was so tight across it created a huge ridge in the center. She could only sleep crammed on one side or the other...or potentially on her stomach over the center support. It would have been a perfect size and very convenient to pack, but wouldn't work for a restful nights sleep.

Outstanding product....

The cot works out very well for when my granddaughters come for a visit. It is so handy at nap time and when the naps are over it stores away in a closet conveniently because of the travel bag it's kept in when not in use. My daughter recommended it to me and I've been very pleased with it.

Best $20 I've spent in a long time!

This cot is totally amazing and exactly as expected. My 2 yr old son immediately hopped on it and loved it right away. It is sturdy, and so easy to set up I thought surely there must be more to it, but it literally just unfolds open into position. It fits back into the storage bag very easily and can be stored with the cover on, which is convenient. Like everyone else, I'd say it's better padded up a bit. I laid a small, doubled over comforter on it and then put a fitted crib sheet over that, which worked perfectly. This item is great for vacations, sleepovers, camping and the beach!

Love it!

My 3yr old has gotten to stage to were she will not sleep in her bed or in ours. She is scared to sleep alone in her room and she is to independent to sleep in the bed with us. We have a 7 month old so I can't stay in her bed with her overnight and she would always way up when I would go to get out. THIS she loves I have it right next to our bed and she uses it during the day even when she watches her movies. Plan on getting a custom padded cover for it since we also travel a lot so will be used even when we get her to sleep in her bed alone.

so easy to set up!

My preschooler just took her first nap on her cot at Grandma's house. Perfect! She slept well and loved her new bed. We are taking it on our camping trip next week, so I am sure she will sleep well. Sets up in no time. Really, you just unfold it. Just an FYI: Crib sheets fit on this cot . A little snug, but just right. I thought I was going to have to get out the sewing machine so I would have an extra, but the crib sheet is perfect!

TOTALLY UNCOMFORTABLE!! Dont do this to your kid!

Based on the prior reviews of 4/5 stars, I thought this might be ideal for my 3year old on our next vacation. The idea is good, the portability and weight is great. What the pictures do not relate is how uncomfortable the "bed" really is. There is a band that doesnt show up in the photographs that runs across the middle width that doesnt make it comfy at all. Imagine laying on a hammock with a rope going across under your hips!! No way you can relax or even sleep in it. And it is advertised for ages 2-5. My daughter is about to turn 3 next month and is by no means a tall kid and it is just suitable for her height. I could not see a 4 or 5 year old sleeping on this cot. Overall... if they made it 6 inches longer and without the band so the cot would actually be comfortable, this product would be GREAT!

Met expectations!

I'd been worried that this bed might be too fragile to withstand plane trips between upstate New York & California (transferred planes once each way); we checked it as luggage. It did just fine, and our daughter (3 years old and pretty fussy) liked sleeping in it. A great bargain for about $37 including tax (site-to-store shipping).
