good....for what we needed

I purchased this cot for my 4 year old son to use while we are traveling. He is 32lbs and 40 inches tall....fits on it perfectly. We used it this past weekend when we visited family and he really liked it. The cot is just as it looks....no extra padding, etc. the sheet that comes with it is of good quality and will fold up with the cot. We brought along a sleeping bag to put on top for extra padding. There is not a bar across the middle as I have read in other reviews. When folded, it fits perfectly in the stow&go compartment in my van.

Has problems - but they can be fixed

The collapsable travel cot folds up small and is easy to pack - it does this perfectly. Many other reviewers mentioned a strap across the middle making it uncomfortable. That strap IS there and left the way it is it IS UNCOMFORTABLE! However, I was able to rig it up so that my daughter slept perfectly stretched out across the cot. Before I go on I should mention I do a lot of camping so I had all the material I needed on hand and this didn't cost me a thing. If I had pay for these I would have felt differently about the cot. Here's what I did: I cut up an old 3/4 inch closed-cell foam sleeping pad (available cheap at many outdoor stores and possibly even Walmart). I cut it into 4 eqaul size squares, approximated 2'X2'. I laid these on either side of the strap - two high so that there was 1.5 inches (2 layers of the 3/4 inch foam) on either side of the strap. Then I took a "short" 47-inch long therma-rest self inflating sleeping pad and laid it across the whole set up. After doing this the top mattress feels flat and the strap is not felt at all. My daughter slept perfectly. If I had to buy these things on my own it may have cost another $60 - added to a $25 cot.. so that may not have been realistic. But, as I mentioned, I had them on hand. You may be able to find a knock-off brand short mattress instead of a therma-rest and drop that price down. Without doing this I WOULD NOT HAVE RECOMMENDED THE COT.

Returned it.

We thought this would have been a great cot for our two year old. We were wrong. There is a piece of material that holds the middle together leaving both sides to droop down. Who wants to sleep with something like that? Too bad, we returned it and will keep looking.

Perfect!

We bought this for my 20 month old son to sleep in when we travel. He is going through some type of independance fase and chooses to sleep on the floor instead of his bed. But we set up this up in his room before we used it for travel and he loved it. He never once fell off. In is difficult to clean though. the first thing my son did was spill his drink on it. But we just put a blanket down for added comfort and a waterproof liner and its perfect! So easy to use. Very low to the ground. Contoured so there is no rolling off. Seems very durrable. Will definitly use for years to come.

Perfect for toddlers

We started out with one of those air mattress beds combined with a sleeping bag. and it lost air the first night camping. we saw this for the same price. we got it. my daughter loved it. she wanted to sleep on it when we got home. its quick and easy set up. it small storage. and its perfect height off the ground she can get on and off by herself. i did think it was a little over priced considering its for kids and i can get a full size adult cot for the same price but we have used our alot already and love it so far

Perfect for grandma's house

I purchased this for my 2 1/2 year old grandson when he comes to stay. Put it in the corner, made a little tent with a sheet and he was thrilled. Happily went to bed and slept all night. Easy set up and storage. I wish it had a little foam padding to make it a little softer but it didn't seem to bother him. Great product for a great price!

Works great for daycare

I own an in home childcare and purchased 4 of these for the little ones I care for. They are fantastic not only because they come with a sheet that can be removed and washed, but because they fold up and take up very little space in my home. The price is fantastic and they are very durable.

Just the right size and very portable

My granddaughter loves her bed! She uses it at my house for her afternoon naps and she feels very grown up. There is room for her and some stuffed animal friends. It went with us to my brother's house in Florida and provided something familiar in a new home. The fitted sheet is nice but I wish there was some type of pad that I could use under the sheet. Very satisfied though!

Love it!

I take care of my sister's kids during the week and I let the 3-year old take a nap on this cot. I love that it folds and unfolds so easily and it is so compact when I'm done using it - I stick it in the corner behind the door and it's not even noticable. He sleeps very well in it and it is super light (in fact, my 3-year old loves to carry it around). I'm not sure I'd use it as a regular night-time bed since it is not very soft, but for limited use, it's perfect.

Good idea!

My grandchild is too young for the "big bed"--afraid she'll fall trying to get out--but too big for the pack&play---the cot was the perfect size. She's comfortable and safe and she loves it! It's a lot easier to set up and put away than the pack & play.
