Awesome Travel Cot! Redesigned and Improved!

I bought two of these (one in pink and one in blue). Both products are identical except for the color. I had read some negative reviews about a support strip sewn across that made the cots uncomfortable. The cots i bought were made in Oct 2011 and had been redesigned and fixed! Now there are two "x"s sewn across that do NOT cause discomfort. Both my 4.5 year old daughter and 5.5 year old son slept on these with no complaints. Just the cot, sleeping bag, and pillow. In fact, they asked if they could sleep on them once we got home as well, lol. The 5 year old is tall for his age, but since he sleeps slightly curled up, this should last him another year or two. The 4 year old in the picture is average size and you can see she has plenty of room. These were so great for hotel travel so the kids did not have to share a bed! Bonus was they pack up fast, easy, small and light! This is a great buy at a great price!

great for daycares and personal use

I have a daycare and I have used mats over the years and decided this year to invest in the cots, the kids really love them. They are wider than I thought they would be so the kids do have room to move on them. I have had them for about a month and so far have held up. The cots come with their own sheets, a crib sheet works on them as well.

Excellent Portable Guest Bed

I got this so when my granddaughter comes over, she has her own space. It fit perfectly between my bed and the dresser. She was very comfortable, and really liked that it was pink. She's almost three years old, and weighs around 24 lbs. Folds away easily for storage when she's not visiting.

Great for travel

I bought this because we are traveling for my sister's wedding and my 2yr old is too big for a pack-n-play. We also travel out of the country each year to visit my husband's family and they don't really have a bed for a 2yr old, so I got this. She loves it so far. I had her nap on it the other day to see if she'd be OK sleeping on it; she did great. I told her it was her special travel cot. I would suggest putting a cotton quilt or blanket under the nylon sheet for comfort. Additionally, may want to use a cotton sheet instead of the nylon one they provide. It made her sweat. Aside from that, it's a good value.

Best travel bed!

I bought this cot for travel purposes and I could not be happier. It light weight, compact and my daughter loves it! It is comfortable and the kids cannot roll off easily. My daughter is an above average sized 4 1/2 year old and she still has a bit of growing room. Some people complain about the strap in the middle but it is not an issue for us. My daughter has been sleeping on it in our room every night for the past couple of months due to some nightmare issues and it is holding up beautifully.

Big bump in middle

I bought this for my two dogs to keep them off the ground when camping. I think it will work perfectly for that. It does not look comfortable for a child. There is a pronounced bump in the middle with a soft spit on either side - perfect for two dogs! I bought this instead of the dog version because this one came with a sheet I can wash. The sheet fits nicely.

Good temporary cot

The cots were purchased for my visiting Grandson's. The cots are appropriate for 2 to 5 year old children. the cots are sturdy, but if you have tall children may not be long enough. The need for additional padding would be nice. I will have to return one of them as my 6 year old grandson is too tall for it and slept better on the floor in a sleeping bag. The cot folds very compactly for storage. I found that for the younger grandson that a foam mattress pad cut up and placed under the sheet helped a lot. This is a great idea for temporary sleeping for a small child.

Great choice for travel with our 2 1/2 year old

My tall 2 1/2 year old daughter had outgrown the pack n play and we were planning a trip to visit family where I knew sleeping arrangements would be tricky. This cot fit the bill perfectly. It took up minimal space in the car as well as in our guest room. And after placing a comforter and a crib sheet on top and adding a pillow and my daughter's blankets, she slept like an angel! She loves her little travel bed and slept all night every night we were visiting, as well as took her full nap every day. It is a bit firm, as described, but it is a cot! Put something quilted on top and it's fine. We had no issue with the "band across the middle" as described by some other buyers, but perhaps we got a later model. We couldn't be happier with this purchase and feel we will get a lot of use out of it.

I loved the idea of having a cot small enough just for my kids. The cot itself is sturdy and is good quality material. Unfortuantely it sags at the top where their head lays and at the bottom where their lower half goes, while the material supporting the middle is so tight that it makes it awkward to sleep on comfortably. Both of my toddlers used their cots and will continue to use them for camping, but I wish they were more comfortable for them to sleep on. We added extra pillows and padding for them. Good concept, poor design.

Excellent bed for toddlers!

I recently bought this cot for my 20 month old toddler for a 3 night hotel stay. He has been out of a crib for a few months now, but I wasn't comfortable having him so high off of the floor in the regular bed yet so this was a perfect choice. Some great points about this cot is it's size, especially in a hotel room. It can easily fit into a small space and we liked that it was low to the floor and gave him a small quiet zone to fall asleep. Also, it folds up and fits very easily into the carrying bag. It's also very light-weight to carry. Some drawbacks though are that it would be nice if the carrying bag had a handle or strap to be able to carry it easier. The drawstring on the bag only closes the opening, but does not have a drawstring clasp or anything. You have to tie it up yourself. Also, the accompanying bed sheet is convenient, but not very soft. We ended up using a full-size fleece blanket folded over, so he would sleep on top of half and covered with the other half. While we have not tried camping with this cot yet, I think it will still be usefull over the next couple of years. Overall, if you need a safe, affordable bed option for a young child, this is the best way to go.
