Great value; poor design

Price is great; our 2 yr. old granddaughter is sleeping fine on it. But there is a strap that goes across the middle of the cot that is too tight. It basically is a ridge between two depressions. I would think it would be very uncomfortable to lay on. But little people probably tend to lay in one half or the other. I don't know that it would really work for a 5 yr. old.

Nana's opinion

Sorry I returned it before my 3 yr old grandson tried it. It looked more like a place for a child to take a nap than spend a nite on. Like other reviewers noted the support straps look uncomfortable and don't seem necessary for small childs weight. The material alone looks durable without these additional crisscross straps. Wished it was more like a hammock -no straps. Ended up buying a small inflatable mattress( takes crib size sheets) which had separate inflatable surrounding sides(looked like a mattress in a inflatable life raft. Grandson loved it. Especially with the nifty character comforter & sheet set. LOL. Redesign without strapping and I'll buy it..

good for camping

We bought a Regalo cot for a recent camping trip for our 5 year old. The cot is sturdy and does the job. The only drawback is the strap that runs across the middle of the cot for support. It pulls the fabric up and keeps the cot from being completely comfortable. While this worked out fine for a couple nights of camping, it would be uncomfortable long term. A child who is sensitive about that kind of pressure on their skin may be uncomfortable even for one night. But our boy was happy to have his own bed for our trip and we've since used it on other trips. Walmart had by far the best price and we were very pleased with our experience ordering it from here.

Not used yet...but I think it's great

I bought this for my little great-nephew in anticipation of needing a "toddler bed" when he stays with me. I think it's great!. Easy to open, sturdy & easy to store. I do agree, however, with previous reviewers that it is hard. You'll have to pad underneath the cover/sheet with either a pillow or a soft, fluffy afghan or throw. Otherwise a great buy!!

My grand-daughters loved their new beds at Nana's.

I purchased these for my triplet grand-daughters to sleep on when they come to my house. They are two and a half and loved them. It was their first time to sleep anywhere except cribs or play yards, so we weren't sure if they would stay put. They loved them so much that they not only stayed in them, we often found them in them during the day, just relaxing with a book or a toy. I purchased sleeping bags for them and they slipped off fairly easy so we need to remedy that someway, but overall I am pleased. They were easy to pack up and store out of sight until the next visit.

Perfect

I bought this cot from a referral from my sister who uses this for her toddler. We bought this to help transition our co-sleeper into his "own" bed, and eventually into his own room. We move him once he's asleep from our bed to this cot and so far....we're 5 for 5 for sleeping all night on the cot. It's great that it folds up to so we can travel with it.

the tot cot

These are great! Our kids loved them. We took them on vacation with us so the two smaller kids (age 3 & 5) could sleep on them. They are very easy to setup and put away. They are light even the kids can carry them. My kids still like to sleep on them now instead of on their beds.

great portable bed for toddler

This bed is great for traveling with a toddler who has out grown the pack n play. My son loves this bed. He moves around all night but doesn't fall off this bed. This bed is low to the ground if he, somehow, does fall off. My only con for this portable bed is that I can't purchase additional sheets for it. Highly recommended. And a great price.

Great for travel

The cot is prefect for travel, compact but on the heavier side. There is no handle on the carry bag which would make life a little easier. The only down side is it is loud when there is movement on it. We had it set up in our room and anytime she would move it would wake me up, the sheet that comes with it is a waterproof sheet not bed sheet. Will try to cover it with a crib mattress sheet next time I use it. Otherwise it's a great product and I will be getting at least 2 if not 3 more for the places we travel frequently since the cost is very reasonable.

Not durable at all!

At first this product was perfect and just what was needed. My almost 3 year old grandson used it to lay on to watch TV or read books, slept on it in my room when he woke at night and was scared, traveled with us on short overnight stays... we used it a lot. Over a few weeks, the plastic connectors on the corners on one end of the cot started to tear through. Within one week after that, one corner was completely unsupported. The way it is constructed I could not repair it. We will keep the canvas part for the moment to perhaps use in the backyard as a hammock-type setup. I was disappointed since I'd hoped I'd found a great bargain for the $24 I spent, but no. Instructions state do not jump on it and maximum weight is something like 40-45 pounds... THEY MEAN IT!!
