I chose a Rowenta iron because of my previous experience with Rowenta.   I thought the mini iron had an automatic shut-off. However, it does not, and it leaks water.  For the almost $40 price, I would not recommend this iron.

Hope it hold up for a long time! ALL IRONS have issues with various types of water. Really need better info on what kind of water is GOOD. Directions say use tap water but mine  is well water with lime, calcium, sulpher, rust; I also have rainwater filtered,  also supposedly bad and it says not distilled water, not bottled water, not filtered water, so what water can I use? 
 I had awesome rowenta focus for 8 years, then leaked out the power cord, so the internal tank seal deteriorated, why? always used distilled water that was recommended in its product instructions.
