I first found this in the Beam tasting store in Louisville. What the heck, we're here on an adventure, so I tried it. Fabulous! I like the BH bourbon too. But nothing touches the Dark Rye.

Had a bar tended at one of my favorite whisky stops turn me on to this, wow! I love Rye's and now have a new go-to for my daily "two fingers", clean, smooth and great value!

I was on a trip and the liquor store was out of the regular Basil Hayden so I decided to give this a try. Well I never turned back. Very smooth, full bodied, and with a slight sweetness to it.

Unlike many ryes, the alcohol levels don't punch you in the face with this one. Very smooth, thanks to the cherry blend. Tiptoes into cognac territory.

I absolutely love the dark rye. It has the perfect blend of sweet & spice. The dark rye is super smooth. This is the bottle I find myself reaching for 9 out of 10 times.

Went to a Basil Hayden tasting last evening and bought a full pour of the Dark to finish out my flight of samplings. It was indeed dark and rich and aromatic and smooth..straight up. Bought a bottle this morning.

Easily my favorite whiskey, hard to believe it's affordable. Shared with many friends - even non-whiskey drinkers - always on the rocks, and never got anything but amazing reviews. So smooth but keeps the integrity of a rye.

After my first taste, I immediately scoured the land for available stock. I believe I just purchased one of the last cases in Pennsylvania. Only sharing with my best of friends.

I am a rye drinker........this is one of the most enjoyable and wonderful I have had the pleasure to devour.....at times. Smooth, very flavorful and always a pleasure.
