This rice cooks really well, its shorter and a little fatter than long grain. It doesn't get mushy, at least not for me, but I've been cooking rice for a long time. IMO it's the best for Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Mexican rice recipes. Medium grain rice is hard to find so please keep it in stock Walmart!

This rice is very good. It is easy to cook and you can make it and save some in the fridge to add to dishes later. The grains are small and great for an older baby/toddler. It makes a great graduate food and family staple. I'll buy it many more times.

There is something weird about this rice. Smells like gas and has a weird taste. The grains don’t open up at all no matter how much water or length of cooking time. My in-laws refused to eating during a dinner I hosted.

Less expensive alternative to calrose style medium grain. Local Walmart doesn't carry anything like this except long grain rice. But I prefer medium. My wife thinks they are all the same!

This is the better rice for people that know of rice. Only what you have to is that you use the same measure of rice and water with a small amount of oil and salt. That’s it. Good taste, excellent.

The rice has a weird flavor. My kids don't even want to eat it and they love rice. I've definitely tasted better rice.

I am Puertorican and I like the short grain rice a lot. Not many lines offer the short grain and at Walmart it is a great price.
