Beautiful!

I got this pan in the teal color and it is stunning! It's a fantastic pot for soups or stews or baking bread. It is very heavy which can make it cumbersome to clean but I expected it to be heavy. I've had it for a couple of months now and no chipping or staining. We keep it on the stove when not in use because it's so beautiful.

More, please!

Bought one pot several months ago. RED, of course! Even when not being used, it sits on top of the stove and adds color, like a kitchen decoration. Everyone was envious. :-) Although I have a wonderful stainless steel pot set, I love this pot the most. I have cooked just about everything in it, from sauces to soups to pot roast to chicken. I use the lowest setting on the burner, it has been quite durable and no chips or other issues. Of course it isn't as easy to clean as Teflon, but almost! De-glazing is all that's needed. I love this pot so much that we bought them for Christmas gifts for the family, AND an extra one for me! One lady we met was buying a pot for her mother, who already had FOUR of them! One somebody LOVES her pots!

Disappointed beware

I bought this because I have always wanted a Dutch oven. I got a little Christmas money, and I actually used it for myself. I bought this because it had good reviews. I got it out of the box and there was only a small bubble on the edge of the lid, but no big deal, it was inexpensive and I didn’t expect perfection. I followed the instructions on the box and oiled the cast iron edges of the lid and pot. Put it in a 350 degree oven for one hour. I cried when it came out. The whole lid and pot discolored a yellow oil buildup. I was devastated. I tried using baking soda and barkeepers friend but nothing would take it off. It’s ruined. Please learn from my experience. I don’t know how you will season it, but I used canola oil.A very light coat. It ruined it. It usable but very ugly and looks 40 years old when it’s brand new. I can’t afford to buy much being disabled and living on Social Security, so this is a huge deal for me. I’m writing this with tears in my eyes. It’s how upset I am. Good luck. I would buy a different one if I were you.

It is good for the price

It is good for the price. I don’t use this heavy Dutch oven often. So I didn’t want to spend money on the expensive French made ones. Mainly use it to make bread and meatballs. It does a decent job of retaining the heat and being oven safe. The coating has chipped off on some part of the vessel. The functionality still works. Just that it is less pleasing to the eyes now. If I was to use this on a daily/weekly basis, I would spend more money to purchase a vessel that would last longer. But for my monthly needs, the price makes it worth it.

Great Deal

I bought this a year ago and I am still loving it! It's a great staple in the kitchen and it is still in great shape. I have used it on the stovetop for soups and stews as well in the oven for braising meats and other dishes. I might buy one this year for my daughter.

Bargain, best enameled pot out there.

I bought one 8 years ago and just ordered another one. It has treated me well. I have been washing mine in the dishwasher which you aren't supposed to do. I use it about 3 times a week. I've used it on glass and flame. Only just now is the finish peeling on the bottom. I love these enameled pots and I bought 2 other more expensive brands. However, the Tramontina is my favorite which is why I'm buying another to replace the one I abused. It has a wide flat bottom ( others are rounded) and a lid that sits tight and doesn't move around (other's lids are too domed and move around when you move the pot). Handles are wide enough to hold with mitts.
