A cooktop large enough to place two pots next to each other because there are ELEVEN inches between the burners, front to back and side to side. This joy is created by having the knobs at the front below the surface of the cooking surface. Children can be taught not to touch. All other stoves, either 30" or 36" have about 7 inches between the eyes. I have six 10" pots on there now, with no pots touching and nothing hanging over the edges. Just for show, I am so happy. And it does not allow a downdraft (you can use an overhead if you think this worthless piece of equipment is useful). The extra large burner is at the center front and it has a very low simmer feature also. My 14" Lodge fry pan and my 14 quart Creuset pot will no longer need the space of two burners each. It seems easy enough to clean. Flame is even. I am in love.

Our contractor uses this brand for all his homes and I love the size and how much can be cooked at one time. The simmer feature is adjustable and not just one setting it and truly simmers. My only wish is that the knobs came in red and/or have a red accent as I have seen in other range tops. It would complete my kitchen decor!

We went with KitchenAid appliances on our new build. I was not impressed with the KitchenAid cooktops. I wanted something that was a six burner a lot more heavy duty and professional looking. The Thor 36" cooktop has been amazing. It's everything I have ever wanted in a cooktop as a home chef. We also went with the four range hood and it is amazing also. Never any issues with smoke once we turn it on. I/we are extremely happy and it is probably one of my favorite things we put into our new house.

My beautiful new range top arrived today! I am blown away by how beautiful it is and how excited I am to cook everyday for for family and friends. The grates are beautiful and heavy, and act as one surface over all six burners. This is going to be an absolute game changer for me! We bought this for our new home because we finally have gas again and the reviews online were amazing! Our renovation is now complete enough to install my Thor and I love cooking on it! The range of heat makes cooking a pleasure! It has a professional look and is easy to clean… I would recommend this to anyone!

Would have given it 5 stars but there is a yellow sticker on the front that warns unit has been converted to LP. Good info, but is a Bear to remove. Scared I might scratch the finish. There is also the same sticker on the side which would suffice as the warning.

After extensive research, I bought this for a kitchen remodel, and it did not disappoint. It's extremely powerful, well-made, and easy to clean. I did have to modify the cabinetry to get it to sit correctly, but it was well worth it. The centre brass burner has discolored a little, but I will get some Brasso and hopefully revive it.

We bought this to replace a Viking range top that had multiple gas leaks. This one is better despite being 1/10 of the price! This particular model was recommended by our appliance repairman because they are reliable and easy to fix if they do break. So far, the stovetop works very well, is beautiful, and is easy to clean. The knobs require pushing in to turn which keeps them from turning on by accident if you bump them-- which is much safer than our old stovetop.

We remodeled our kitchen and always wanted a high-end gas cooktop. What size? What brand? What features? There were several to choose from. But we decided on the Thor 36" 6-burner cooktop and it has exceeded our expectations! 6 large burners provide all the cooking power we need: Large burners allow you to boil a giant pasta pat at the same time you saute veggies while you also simmer sauce. Drips wipe right of the easy-to-clean the iron grates. My son is a professional chef, and he says it cooks better than many restaurants he's been in. Before our Thor, I cooked most of our meals; but now my husband cooks more than I do! Should we ever need service, we like that we have USA service. That was a big selling point for us. We couldn't be happier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After over a month of use I can say without hesitation that this is a very good product. It provides plenty of heat, and it is easily controlled. The simmer burner provides low heat, and the large burners are just great. The only disadvantage is that the center of the pot is not heated, but this is common in all gas cooktops I have seen but one. I highly recommend this cooktop.
