[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After over a month of use I can say without hesitation that this is a very good product. It provides plenty of heat, and it is easily controlled. The simmer burner provides low heat, and the large burners are just great. The only disadvantage is that the center of the pot is not heated, but this is common in all gas cooktops I have seen but one. I highly recommend this cooktop.

We purchased this while our home was being constructed. We are finally able to start using it when I noticed an issue with one of the burner and base corroding and discoloration on another one. Disappointed to have to replace parts before even using it. Overall still happy with the looks and value.

I'm still in the process of remodeling my kitchen, but I've used this range enough to know that it is going to be great! Coming from a standard 30" slide in range, the look of this rangetop built into a cabinet is premium. Installation is straightforward with the gas hookup being pretty easily accessible from the underside. There are adjustable feet on the bottom too if you need to level the rangetop in a wonky space. I'll note that my unit was a little unlevel, but it settled without needing to adjust the feet after install. I really like the lights illuminating the knobs for burners that are operating - important for someone like me that has a history of leaving a low burning burner going after cooking... The knobs themselves are solid and precise. The range of output is precise too in that as you move from high to low (or vice versa) the flame adjusts smoothly - particularly on the simmer burner in the middle. Overall, I am very happy with the look and function!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently had our 36" Gas Range Top installed. I would like to address many comments that I had previously heard. The heat/fire control for all of the 6 burners is excellent, from high fire to low simmer, and everything in between. The porcelain top is easy to clean, and durable. The packaging the unit came in was excellent, very sturdy and protective. I will say that the exposed SST areas should have some protective plastic on them to keep from being scratched during install. We were able to install ours with no scratches, being very careful. The LEDs are very functional, work well, and do look good too. The grates are extremely heavy in a good way with quality rubber grommets, nicely designed. The unit had no functional problems at all, everything worked as expected. Our unit has not been installed long, so I can't speak to long-term reliability -- but we are off to a VERY good start. This is a solid 5-star review considering there are no compromises and the very low price. Get one. You will love yours too.

Would have given it 5 stars but there is a yellow sticker on the front that warns unit has been converted to LP. Good info, but is a Bear to remove. Scared I might scratch the finish. There is also the same sticker on the side which would suffice as the warning.

I chose this cooktop for my new build as an alternative to the great quality model our builder normally puts in. This model was the same price with much better features for a kitchen that is used regularly and often. The cast iron grates that are continual from front to back is a must have for juggling multiple items on the stove (or a welcome reprieve when cooking with heavy cast iron). The design is easy to clean and you never have to worry about burning hot metal knobs or melted plastic ones, next to a burner. Looks beautiful in my new kitchen.

A cooktop large enough to place two pots next to each other because there are ELEVEN inches between the burners, front to back and side to side. This joy is created by having the knobs at the front below the surface of the cooking surface. Children can be taught not to touch. All other stoves, either 30" or 36" have about 7 inches between the eyes. I have six 10" pots on there now, with no pots touching and nothing hanging over the edges. Just for show, I am so happy. And it does not allow a downdraft (you can use an overhead if you think this worthless piece of equipment is useful). The extra large burner is at the center front and it has a very low simmer feature also. My 14" Lodge fry pan and my 14 quart Creuset pot will no longer need the space of two burners each. It seems easy enough to clean. Flame is even. I am in love.

After almost a decade of use, my previous 36” Thor rangetop was beginning to show its age. We always cook our own meals so our rangetop receives very heavy use. Although still working, I noticed this current generation of 36” rangetop featured numerous improvements over the early model I had. Things like redesigned burners, improved die cast metal knobs, the addition of LED lights indicating which burner was on, raised backsplash moulding, improved grates, and an electric igniter that stopped clicking over and over! Frankly, all the things I wished were better on my 10 year old model, Thor improved! It’s almost like the Thor engineers were hearing my thoughts after 10 years of use and made the fix. And because this model is just a continuous update to the previous generation units, installation was a breeze as it fits exactly like the old unit without the need for any modifications. Thanks Thor Kitchen! You’ve made a long time customer very happy and I look forward to another decade of happy cooking!
