Impressed with the materials used for this glider. Will not rot like our previous wooden glider! Assembly instructions were not in package and must be secured via Lifetime website. Packaging for glider needs to be improved as I had to repair bent screws. The pivot bars have tack welds that will break if not attached gently. Expect this glider to survive exposed to the elements.

We have two of the glider benches. The slats are attached with screws that over time pop out of the composite slat. These slats should have been drilled all the way through and attached with Stainless Steel bolts/nuts. I ended up doing this on my own to solve the problem. I wrote support and informed them f my repair, perhaps they will implicate it with the cost of pennies on the dollar.

I bought this for our new deck and I love that the bronze finish matches the bronze spindles on our deck. The box arrived a little beat up (probably the fault of the shipping company) and there were two missing bolts and two defective parts. I called customer service and they sent out replacement parts right away.

Poor material durability: The all weather powder coated finish is rusting off after only 1 California rainy winter. In addition, the screws that fasten the plastic planks to the frame continually rust and have to be replaced. See photos. Flawed bearing design: The glider sits on sets of bearing sleeves which are poorly designed and keep failing. The inner sleeve strips out and I have had to rig up a solution using several sets of washer and some concave bicycle brake shoe washers. See photo. Flawed construction: The screws that attach the plastic planks to the frame are inadequate. Too short, misaligned to the pre-drilled holes and rust prone. The back and forth movement of the glider causes the boards to continually pop out and I have had to re-screw, re-drill or glue the boards back down. See photo.

we actually purchased this in July, 2020. by May, 2021, we noticed several slats were sticking up on the sides. the bolts had rusted & broken off--lots of them, leaving the tips of the bolts trapped in the bench--no possible way to replace the bolts. we tried MULTIPLE times & ways to resolve the issue--lots of closed doors & stopped up ears. It wasn't till the end of July that Lifetime finally agreed to completely replace the bench--very grudgingly. we would have been happy to've just gotten an in store credit...maybe then the end product would've been better for us. but alas, deaf ears.

We bought two Lifetime Glider Benches for our cabin and we should have bought more because those are the chairs everybody fights to sit in! We love them. They glide so smoothly and they are comfy! Plus they withstand extreme weather conditions and still look like new.

I bought a Lifetime glider that had been sitting on someone's very narrow front porch for about 6 years. We proceeded to sit it in front of our house, under a edge of a Japanese maple for another 5 years. We then moved it some land we bought deep in the country where it has now been sitting for another 6 years. Sure, the surface is looking a bit rougher but it still glides smoothly and does not have any rust. And I have never lubricated any of the moving parts. I am a Lifetime Products customer for life and about to buy one of the storage sheds!

We own many Lifetime pieces but this is my favorite! It sits in the west facing sun and still looks amazing despite the sun beating down on it daily. It provides a nice and relaxing place to spend the summer nights (once the sun has gone down) and enjoy the sunsets.

Otherwise very nice. Comfortable and beautiful. But I did NOT expect the bearing to break after about 4 months (being used about twice a week). It has never had any more than about 140 kg (2 adults). One of the eight bearings it uses to swing on broke. I have a very good picture that won't upload (2,563 kb over an 8 Mb connection). I LOVE this bench, and would give it a very high rating if it only were possible and easy for me to get a replacement part!

I purchased guider believing it was a maintenance free lifetime quality product. Wrong … after seven years the bearing all rusted out of rocker arms and luckily no one was injured when they failed and disconnected from the base. Buyer Beware and budget S12.00 because every seven years you will need to purchase the replacement arms for the guilder or it will not function, but you’ll have some nice Lifetime yard art!!
