Mac & cheese - quick fix

Macaroni and cheese is a comfort food that is made from cook macaroni pasta mixed with cheese sauce, usually cheddar-based. It's popular in the United States of America and Canada.

I eat these when I'm house sitting because they're easy to bring along. They are the perfect serving size and taste great! I like to use them as a snack or a side to a meal.

This is a great alternative to the full cook boxes with a similar flavor, especially when we add a little extra cheese after cooking. It’s perfect for a quick and easy snack for my teenager. Just be careful with the water fill line, as it can easily bubble over in the microwave.

This is a good serving for a single person however I did make some changes. I followed the instructions as to minutes in microwave, but when it was done I drained the water thru a sieve and washed the macaroni. I put it back in cup added milk and heated up, stirred in cheese and it was perfect. I like my mac and cheese runny so always had to add milk. Plus I don't like that cooked water to stir in the cheese. After a few adjustments, I ate it and it was perfect.

I want to love these more but the good news is my kid sees no difference. I find that it’s bit or miss on consistency and that just barely any extra fluid and it’s really soupy. I swear it’s not as cheesy as the boxes but it does mix up quick. It’s more of a me issue because I get 0 complaints from my 3 year old each time .

This product is not supposed to compare to a homemade batch of mac and cheese. However, in terms of getting something quick and relatively low calories while still providing great flavor and perfect size, this is my go- to and often in my shopping cart.

This is his wife. While I mistakenly purchased thinking these were the boxes, the review is about the quality of the item itself. These are not good in my opinion. Not only are they reheated in plastic, they have a weird texture and do not taste minimally good without additional add ins. with extra cheese and milk, they are okay but still not to the level of the boxes in terms of taste and texture. I understand they are for a quick bite or add on in a snap, but they just aren't good and I think the box version fills that need better. We will just this order of them only as a last resort occasionally.

Not as good as Velveeta but they are cheaper than Velveeta
