This filter is restricting airflow. Our return air is so loud when our gas furnace is running. Also we hear a thump a few seconds after the furnace kicks off. Not sure what the deal is.

We've used lower rated Filtrete filters that work well. I bought the Ultra because the others were out of stock. If you buy any Filtrete filters, I recommend changing them before your system shuts down from lack of air flow. They are that good!

We shopped around buying filters from different stores, buying filters online through subscriptions. Not only are they more expensive the Quality is not the same. With a membership We get 4 filters for the price of 1.

I have tried cheaper brands but I always come back to filtrete. They have different merv ratings for different situations. I have Saint Bernards and lots of dog hair and dander and it takes care of it all.yes they are expensive but worth every penny.
