I always picked up a pack of crab meat from Sam's that was packaged in the black styrofoam tray and saran wrapped. Recently, I went to get some and found it was replaced with this TransOcean brand. I tried it that same day and immediately noticed a difference. This brand is soft and mushy. It's not as thick as the trays. The taste also isn't good. I prefer the trays.

I buy these quite often. I actually liked the fresh packaged from the seafood section, but these are good. I heat a handful in the microwave for a few seconds and dip in melted butter with some salt and it tasts like lobster! Or I just eat out of the package with some good cocktail sauce. It's also good for watching your weight. Great snack too.

I am so disappointed that Sam's Club no longer sells their old imitation crab meat in the styrofoam tray. That tasted like real crab meat! This Trans Ocean brand tastes awful! No how much seasoning you add to it, it still tastes terrible. SAM'S CLUB IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS, PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL CRAB MEAT YOU USED TO SELL. PLEASE!!!
