Presently Surprised. Showstopper!

Surprisingly delicious. I sauteed on the stovetop for 3 minutes both sides to get that nice crisp top and threw them in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes with fresh lemon slices and the juice leftover drizzled on top. There were nicely sliced 6 pieces. I will definitely be buying these again and will highlight them at my next dinner party and I'll add some razzle dazzle with some of the leftover sauce with some heavy cream and parm cheese. Was not disappointed at all. I was almost discouraged from the negative reviews, but these were a hit and so convenient for a weeknight dinner with a yummy vegetable and rice or mashed potatoes.

I Like This

I agree with others that the salmon may be a bit over-marinated; I'd prefer a lighter marinade or even a dry rub. That said, I liked the portion sizes. I would be willing to pay more for Alaskan or Pacific Northwest salmon, which tends to be much cleaner in flavor. This was my first time purchasing this item, and I would buy it again, though next time I'll likely pat off some of the excess marinade with a paper towel rather than leaving it so heavy. I also think it would taste even better smoked, especially if some of that marinade is removed first.

Bone Lodged in Throat!

My husband and I used to love this salmon, however in our most recent box, his filet had several fish bones and he got one lodged in his throat. After digging through his filet we found a few more. We had to make a trip to the ER to have the bone removed. Luckily nothing serious came of it, but please think twice before purchasing.

SO MANY BONES

To call this “Boneless” is false advertising. There are literally so many bones in these filets. Not only inconvenient, but incredibly dangerous. I have eaten 3 of these filets so far, hoping that the bones were just a one off fluke… however, they were all the same. I have to break apart the salmon with a fork and then inspect every little piece before eating. I've eaten 3 so far so I'm past the point of being able to return these. Disappointing especially with how expensive salmon is.

not flaky, not fresh and only tail parts!

this is the worst salmon I have even bought at Sam's Club. Don't be fooled with the picture of fish on the package. the package I got has 6 portions inside, but none of them looks like the picture. All of 6 are tail (please see attached image which shows only 4 portions since I cooked two). Also, not flaky at all or not fresh at all. No worth of eating. I used to be able to buy frozen yet very fresh and flaky salmons at Sam's Club, but no more. I am really disappointed.

Saturated Fat

I think its strange that this "wild caught salmon has a whooping18% saturated fat. " If a package labeled "wild-caught" claims to have such high fat levels, it may be a case of mislabeling. Here is a breakdown of why this discrepancy might exist: Mislabeling (Farmed as Wild): The most common reason for high fat content in a "wild" product is that it is actually farm-raised. Farmed salmon are fed high-fat, processed diets to make them grow faster, resulting in more body fat and white fat marbling. Species Variation: While most wild salmon is lean, certain types, particularly Pacific Chinook (King) salmon, are naturally fattier and higher in fat than others. However, even this rarely hits levels typically associated with 18% of total fat content being saturated. Contaminants: Farmed salmon often has double the total fat and a higher percentage of saturated fat compared to wild, which is considered a leaner, healthier option. The Healthy @Reader's Digest"

Not good for the price

There were only 5 pieces in the box, didn’t like the seasoning or the skin on the salmon would not buy again

Okay, but not great.

The marinade is not bad, but it seems to be masking the taste of the frozen fish. I don't think I'll be buying this again.
