We purchased this to Zibo because of the overall style in the electrical seizures and structural integrity. We are so happy with it it looks amazing and living in Arizona I’m confident now that I’ve added three coats of Watco finishing oil; it will continue to look amazing. I can’t believe my neighbor spent over 7K for an aluminum structure, wrinkly it looks like a complicated gutter system.

It was a lot of work to assemble. Me and my wife did all of the assembly. We stained and sealed it. I hired some help to lift the roof up. I am 68 and my wife is 64. We took our time and got her done. I think if I were to do it again I would have it assembled.

The instructions, videos and clearly labeled parts, made the construction "easy" to do. The finished product has already become a favorite spot to hang out with family, friends, and each other. All our poolside retreat needed was a centerpiece giving us some shade...one that wouldn’t obstruct the glorious foothill views that surround our home near Yosemite. The Cordova protects us from the sun and the squinting, yet we are still able to relax and watch the hawks and ravens circling beneath clouds rolling in from the Pacific. Take a soothing dip in the pool or the spa. Then dry off under the solid Gazebo roof. All the creature comforts we need are at hand. The Cordova was the only thing that was missing. It is a classic. Bold and sturdy design. Perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a complicated build. Be sure you have friends and/or family to help. Take the time to label all parts and it is helpful to put all hardware in separate containers that are clearly marked. You will need minimum of 3 and better to have 4 people to place the roof sections. Have quick clamps ready. There are several sub assemblies that can be done ahead of time to expedite the process (14’ beam and top frame assemblies).

We just put this up a few days ago. It is beautiful, however we struggled getting the forth part of the rough on (possibly user error). We did end up getting it attached just not perfectly. We could not get the more decorative pieces on at the end. I do love it though. It is a great purchase.

Love our backyard discovery gazebo. Definitely big task to put together tho. I put it together by myself and took me 2 weekends to get it done (95F degree days, many breaks were required). I did have to get help from a neighbor to lift the roof panels into place. But otherwise we are very happy with it.

The instructions were very thorough, I would recommend downloading the BILT AP as well. I would recommend a total of 3 people to install the roof panels but can be done with two strong people that have some basic carpentry skills. Keep all parts organized and take your time, the end result is beautiful. Highly recommend

I spent countless hours researching gazebos. I searched all over for a very high quality gazebo that would last a long time and that looked great on the new patio I just installed. I stumbled on this gazebo on display at a store by me and I was really impressed with how well the structure was made. Even though it is a dark walnut stain, it had an ever-so-slight hue of red color on a couple of the posts while my wife and I were looking at it in the store. Also, we were looking for something that had a black roof as opposed to a dark brown. So my wife and I decided to keep looking for another option. We looked at other brands which was aesthetically exactly what we were looking for (natural light wood tone with black roof). However, the quality was no where near this. From the max snow load to the wind certification of 100mph, and the impressive quality of the steel roof and cedar, there really was no competition. As you can see from the pictures, there is no red hue at all and it really looks awesome against the gray paving stones I have. CONS: There was a couple nicks and scratches, as well as some waviness in the roof. Also, it comes with screws to bolt into the ground, which is an optional step. The screws to anchor it to the ground were not as high quality as the rest of the structure, so I bought concrete screw anchors (1/4” DIA. x1-3/4” L). They worked out great. Lastly, I love the electric hookup, but the cord was a little short for where we needed it to go by a foot or two. It would be great if the cord length could be adjusted. There are workarounds for this like placing the electric panel lower, so it’s not the end of the world. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had spent years running out during high winds or thunder storms, climbing on a ladder to pull the cover off my old lightweight patio gazebo. I desperately wanted to upgrade but the cost of building my own was crazy expensive. Then comes the Cordova! What a huge upgrade! Unit looks great even like I built it myself (well I did!). It was a lot of work to build but I’m very happy with the outcome. Be sure to give yourself time to build it. It does take time and extra help. Don’t rush and layout all of the parts. You’ll need extra help lifting the roof panels into place. They are not light. Plan ahead, take your time and it will be well worth the effort. They also gave one or two extra of every fastener. No missing parts! That all said, I did have a number of chipped or warped boards. Careful planning allowed me to cover or straighten most of them. Backyard Discovery did offer to send me extra stain (which was nice!) but haven’t seen it yet. Will be adding my own electrical and ceiling fan in the next week. Just in time to enjoy the summer!
