This cheese has a tendency to become moldy way before the expiration date. I've had 2 bags replaced so far.

One of them had mold even though they are individually packed. Tried to report it to Sam’s but they asked to ship it back. I haven’t got time for that.

Gouda cheeses are molding extensively despite being well before the "best by" date. I have reached out to arla to correct this without hearing back from them. I believe that since it seems to be one, particular flavor and the mold seems to be along the lines where the food is contacting the packaging where it is sealed or inserted, this could be from bad sanitization practices or contamination.

Used to be great- the last 2 packages purchased have had moldy havarti. I even take a cooler with ice packs to the store for my cold item transport. Contacted company via their contact form over a month ago and no response. Today- another moldy Havarti with a different exp date.

First piece out of this package didn't taste quite right. It was harder than it should have been, but I let it go. Next piece tasted normal, fine. My daughter came over a few days later and pulled out a piece and yelled it had mold all over it. I made her show me and check the expiration on the bag, since I remembered the other piece tasted like it had been sitting out for a few days. However the expiration date wasn't until Dec '25. I don't why this bag is not good, but not going to try to return it.
