rotten tomatoes

Just bought the vine ripened tomatoes on Monday. On Wednesday, pulled them off my shelf and EVERY tomato was rotten!! Don’t know what’s going on with the Severn store but it seems like they have no clue on what they are putting out. Never buying produce again from this store.

Not good for pick up service.

I tried ordering these through the pick up service. Everything else was in excellent condition. I ordered two packages of these Tomatoes. Both packages had very over ripe Tomatoes. I had to throw away many of them because of mold growing. Usually, these are perfectly ripe. For some reason through pick up, they were not good and ended up unusable.

Excellent flavor and stayed fresh for a week plus

Love these hydroponic grown tomatoes from Marfa, Texas They are consistently long lasting and good tasting. Have been buying for a year plus now. I always smell through the holes in package first to see if good tomato smell. Store in a cool dry spot. I recommend.

Not Good Batch

This batch of on vine tomatoes ARE hard..no juice..and NO flavor. Look ripe, but are not ripe. I ordered on line through Sam's app, and my Hubby picked up the order, so I was not present to check the tomatoes out. I have bought the smaller, on the vine tomatoes, and they were yummy, " just like the garden picked", I did for many years" on the farm. Fruit and Veggies now days, just aren't up to par the way they are treated and harvested. This batch of tomatoes were deceiving, by the packaging and lighting. Not Sam's fault. Just the beast of the nature with mass production and early pickin'.

Rot within days

I've been buying these weekly for months and enjoying them. The last two purchases were not only a different tomato but began to rot within days. Upon inspection after bringing them home and opening them, I found at least one had already begun to spoil. I'm terribly disappointed.

Just---eeewwwww!

Bought on Mon the 14th and went to use them Tue. There were almost half that had mold on them and didn't see it when we picked them up so it grew fast. Plus all were VERY soft and runny (which probably caused the mold). What do I have to do? Pinch the s--t out of them before buying??

No flavor

Very disappointed in the complete lack of flavor. I don't know why Sam's keeps using Sunset for produce. I'm always disappointed and should have known better but was craving a Caprese salad. At least the tomatoes weren't rotten like my past Sunset purchases

TASTES LIKE WATER

SCAM!! NOT VINE RIPENED, SIMPLY SHIPPED IN EXPENSIVE PACKAGING AFTER HAVING THE BRANCH CUT OFF THE PLANT! THREW EVERY BIT OF IT IN THE TRASH!! ONE NIBBLE OFF A SLICE WAS ENOUGH TO LET US KNOW THAT SAM'S DOESN'T TASTE ANYTHING THEY SELL!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

They come very fresh, so be aware

I bought a pack of these earlier in January. They were incredibly fresh, so much so that they tasted a lot more green than tomato-ey, if that makes sense. However, because they were so fresh, they lasted in the fridge for over two weeks. By the time I ate the last few, they were perfect. A good value for what they are, but be aware they're not at their best right out of a newly purchased pack.

Disappointed

Have bought these several times. Recently purchased again and two days later they were molding. Highly disappointed! I had to toss out half of them. I have no way of knowing but it appears they may be stored at a cooler temperature then brought out in warmer temperature for sale, thus causing mold and early spoilage. Such a waste of produce and money, especially since the price has gone up during the winter months. Sam's Club produce is becoming much like Walmart produce ... disappointing and not worth buying.
