Took this to a family reunion and got lots of compliments! Worth the money!

Sliced thinly very nicely. Rinse the black outer coat under cool running water and patted dry with paper towels before thinly slicing. Worked great for crockpot hot ham and cheese sandwiches

This is not being continued and that is a failure of marketing of an excellent product. This is a Boneless ham, fully cooked, extremely lean, perfectly smoked and ready to put on your slicer and go to town !!! There is some silliness about soot being on it, NO ! It is an actually, really, truly SMOKED ham, not liquid smoke ! Yes your precious little hands will get blackened when handling it. Well, you will need to wash your hands anyway. This blackness is Flavor !! They are discontinuing this because people do not understand Smoking a fine ham. This is very sad.

Nice ham for family gathering. I loooved the smokiness of this type of ham. I warmed it in a crock pot on low for a few hours and it was tender and delicious. I rinsed the ham prior to heating as it has the smokey coating on it. Perfecto! its not like your run of the mill spiral ham. great for leftovers , sandwiches , scalloped potatoes and ham.. soup. it froze well also.

WHAT DID YOU DO TO THE BLACK FOREST HAM???? I have bought this ham and sliced it at home for years and suddenly my egg shaped ham with the nice 'smoked covering' has turned into a rectangular blob with what appears to be flakey spray painted on black that looks like mold. The ham I picked up had a saggy plastic bag around it and liquid squishing around with flecks of black floating in the goo. I made the trip back to SAMs, no easy feat for a senior and returned the lump. Thinking it was a fluke, I was inside and went to the meat case to find no less than half a dozen similar "hams" looking just like the one I returned. THIS is not going to fly. I have gotten 2 tubes of hamburger that smelled old when opened the next day after purchase and with a use by date still a week in the future. GET A NEW MEAT MANAGER or I will be looking for a new place to spend my meat budget dollars...

Delicious not overly salty

This is a staple in our house. Very good breakfast ham.

I love that there are no nitrates! It is very tasty! It is definitely worth paying the extra money.

Uncured Ham by Sam's was a big hit at a funeral, we served. I had never used uncured but it was really good.
