I have several of these "tough boxes", not to be confused with the member's mark version. But they have failed in Texas heat by turning to a crisp and shattering. I am writing the review this morning because of the danger of sharp edges on this product. I received a nasty cut on my hand this morning. Sam's should recall this product.

Seriously what did they do to these, I've bought them before, and from something that claims to be "Made in the USA" they smell like burned up recycled/melted tires.... some are worse than others, and man the sticker really smells... I've taken the sticker off and washed and soaked them and they smell a little better but I have to agree with the others wheeeeeewh these are stinkers for sure. Maybe i'll use these for storage in my garage, non clothes items, they might be ok, but definitely no good for clothes. I thought I saved a couple bucks over the home improvement stores but not worthwhile if I have to wash them down and scrub them for a half hour each and they still stink, probably not worthwhile to return but won't be purchasing them again.

My husband and I purchased 29 totes in November and by April many of them were cracked and rendered useless. Actually, we are down to 12 that remain uncracked. We have numerous lids leftover. Sadly, we did not separate and check them upon initial purchase because 2-3 were already cracked but well-hidden within the stack. We have NOT overloaded these totes. They simply crack when lifted. The title says, "The Moving Tote" and we purchased them for two reasons. Reason (1) we purchased a new home and wanted to use them for transferring breakables; and (2) we wanted to move them to the garage to use as storage bins. Much to our dismay, they are useless and we have been throwing them away one by one. We plan on returning the remaining for a refund. Hopefully, Sam's Club will reimburse the entire amount since they are NOT "Lifetime" as the name suggests!

I love these 27 gallon totes they are the perfect size right now Sam's Club is out of them at least in Topeka and he can't come check availability in Kansas City I need 15 or 20 more but all of they have available right now are the littler ones and the 40 gallon ones the smaller ones are not big enough I have a 40 gallon ones are too big I really wish they would hurry up and get some more thorough I am desperate for them.

Bought around 20 of these about six weeks ago to prep for a move. Multiple ones warped so the lid barely fit. At least two have failed on the bottom and one of the lids cracked open. Compared to other brands I used these are clearly worse build quality.

Bought 3 of these at my local Sam's even though they had an odd odor. Once I got them home and "unnested" them...OMG! They stink like a combination of skunk and decomp. Sturdily made, but I'm afraid anything stored in them will absorb the odor. I left them out in the sun for a few hours thinking they might release some of the odor if they got heated up. No dice.

Ive purchased 4 of these in the last month, and very pleased for all the Reasons Others have stated. I store lightweight Christmas Presents Ive ordered. I use Curbside Pickup so an Employee does the Shopping for You. WARNING, These last 2 had been used, they were "Dirty on the Inside", and I dont mean dust, oily like stains on the Inside of the Bin. Dont drive off without checking!

Pretty inexpensive for a tote like this but after getting it home I realized they're not very durable. The bottoms are very brittle and hitting them on the ground with even just a moderate force causes the bottom to break all the way around the edge and the entire bottom to pop out. Be careful how you handle them.

I have purchased these totes over the last year and sometime between April and July of 2021 they became much thinner. The lids are especially thin and weak compared to just a few months ago. I was stacking them with a decent amount of weight but now I do not have any confidence they will hold up without cracking the lids. It's a shame because strength is the main reason I bought this (tough) box.

Everyone of these at our local club reeks of burning plastic. Everything you put in it will start to reek of burning plastic. We thought we cleaned it well with soap and water but we forgot to peel off the label before washing it. There was no describable smell any more. Peeling off the label caused us to be flooded with the stink of burning plastic again. We washed it again. Even items in space bags or airtight containers somehow get permeated with the smell. It is definitely a manufacturing defect. Returning ASAP and will have to go elsewhere for large storage containers due to this issue.
