I am getting older and my hearing has been mildly destroyed by my love of music that requires a loud volume...so my kids have gotten tired of me turning the tv up loud so i can hear it and the tv speakers sound horrible. Got this when it went on sale for $30 off and i do not regret that decision, i plugged it in when it was delivered this morning and i instantly started to find movies to test the sound quality out, and apparently woke up my teen son from his weekend slumber. Oops... so i'd say it works well!

I am BEYOND please with this. It works just fine even without using the app, and it's the perfect size to fit on a home entertainment cabinet. I thought it would be big, but it really isn't and still can be VERY loud. The audio quality is good, and I had no real issue connecting it to the TV—the instructions were so simple. And it's bluetooth! I don't even need to turn on the TV, I can just use my phone to play a podcast. Do not hesitate to buy this!
