Sounds great when it worked. It doesn't work anymore. They updated the app on the phone screwed everything up. Not having a remote was asinine decision by Vizio management.

Had a decent sound in store, especially for the price on sale. However, please take note: (Soundbar remote control sold separately. HDMI eARC Output only.). As a result, I would not even consider buying it.

Honestly, the best part of this buy was the Sam's Club promotion! This soundbar works about half the time, but works great when it does. We.have this soundbar connected to a Vizio TV and half the time, it doesn't connect and we have to get the volume up to 50 in order to get decent sound in the room. Then randomly, it starts to work and sounds fantastic. When working, the volume is between 8-12 on the TV, which I have my own issues with (left a similar review on that product page). I bought 4 Vizio devices at once on sale and with promotions and I honestly think they all have software issues that keep them from operating normally day to day. These will by the last Vizio products I will ever buy. Do yourself a favor and avoid this brand, Samsung and LG are both sold by Sam's and both are much more superior brands.

I am getting older and my hearing has been mildly destroyed by my love of music that requires a loud volume...so my kids have gotten tired of me turning the tv up loud so i can hear it and the tv speakers sound horrible. Got this when it went on sale for $30 off and i do not regret that decision, i plugged it in when it was delivered this morning and i instantly started to find movies to test the sound quality out, and apparently woke up my teen son from his weekend slumber. Oops... so i'd say it works well!

This soundbar loses connection with the "remote" on my phone consistently. And it isnt simple to reconnect. I spend about 10 to 15 minutes when it disconnects. Maybe its something on my end, but i really dont think so. I would prefer an actual remote control, rather than using my phone. I should have went with something different. "You get what you pay for" fits the bill here, i do not recommend this soundbar.
