This is our second temper-pedic mattress. The first mattress we purchased several years ago is now used in our guest bedroom. For some unknown reason, we (wife and I) convinced our self to replace the master bed mattress with a competitors product (air mattress). We had purchased extra bed sheets and even though we never open the package the dealer would not give a reimbursement after 90 days. This was 3-years ago. Big mistake! We had enough sleepless nights and decided to revisit a temper-pedic dealer. Don't we swayed so take my advise and stick with what you know and trust. The Tempur-Pedic brand comes with so many reviews and experiences that I was unsure as to the value and as to which version I should purchase. After months of trying out the Pro- adapt line, I settled on the soft. Night one felt a bit too firm. I read about walking on the mattress to break it in. I did that. Night two was great, and I can tell it will only get better. The bed is not too hot. It's not too hard to move on. It's supportive and very comfortable. I'm glad I got a Tempur-Pedic. And I'm glad I got the soft. The only complaint I have is that the mattress is not heavy enough to keep my top sheet from pulling out at the base; but I'll figure that out. Save yourself some time. Buy the soft Pro - adapt.

This mattress for a 275 pound man is perfect. I was falling within my Serta iComfort Series and the Temperpedic Pro Adapt has better support and the Serta was broken in for 5 years the Serta was causing back pain. The Temperpedic seems to be broken in already after 3 weeks but it is the Firm model and seems to give a more even cushioning it has gotten a little softer where I press my weight though. It is very comfortable.

The day that my new mattress and adjustable base arrived, is the day that my back pain subsided! The excellent medium hybrid mattress gives just the right support and comfort, and the adjustable base allows me to choose just the right positions to alleviate my back pain and allow me a perfect night's sleep. My back and I are VERY grateful to have found this combination.

We owned a Tempurpedic mattress several years ago and loved it. Then we purchased a different brand we have used for years. Recently we bought a new Tempurpedic after testing several at a local furniture store. This mattress is nowhere near as soft as the one we had years ago, and my wife has back issues and cannot sleep on it without pain. We were hoping a couple months use would "break it in" but it has not changed... and the store says cold weather will not help its firmness. We are looking for another mattress to return this one for.

For the past 25 years I have only had the pleasure of sleeping on hand-me-down mattresses that probably should have just gone to the trash. I would constantly wake up with back pain, toss and turn throughout the night, and just could not get a good nights sleep. My wife and I were reluctant to get a new mattress. The cost to us was shocking. We did not feel comfortable spending the amount but we knew we needed one. Well, we are glad we did. Since the first night we haven't had a bad nights sleep. We are so glad we chose this model and were also happy that the "soft" feel was still firm enough for the both of us. My back pain has since disappeared and each night I'm glad to get a good nights sleep. If you have any doubts, put them to rest. This mattress is worth the price and you'll have a better nights sleep because of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I slept on this mattress for over a week before my review. I have two herniated discs and a fractured vertebrae in my back. With my other mattress I would have to roll out of bed. After 8+ days of this mattress I find my mornings much easier and a super sound comfortable sleep I can actually bend upright and pivot out of bed like a kid again. I would recommend this mattress to anyone. It's a complete game changer for me

This mattress seemed fantastic in the store and not at all too firm. First night it was extremely firm(hard). Have been sleeping on it three weeks and it is still extremely hard. Wake up with sore back, ribs, hips and shoulders. I would not recommend. Plan to return it after the 30 days. In the meantime cannot last more than an hour on this bed before moving to another room.

I have purchased way too mattresses in the past 10 years, searching for a good nights sleep. Finally, Tempurpedic Proadapt Firm mattress has given me reliably great rest every single night. Each night I go to bed and I think the mattress might be too hard for me, as I seem to lie on top of it rather than in it, however that thought lasts about 5-10 minutes and next I know, I'm waking up 8 hours later with no shoulder/ hip/ back pain. I also purchased the Adapt Prolo+cooling pillow and that, too, is a game changer for me ...no more neck pain. This purchase has genuinely changed my life for the better. No more Ibuprofen, no more Acetaminophen. I hope that everyone can find the relief I am enjoying.
