It served us well all these years and was still in excellent condition; however, I wanted a new one with increased firmness. My wife and I live physical lives and are very fit. We purchased the firm option and its definitely not a bed you can just jump into as it feels like jumping on wood. That being said, as you lay in it, the mattress molds to your body in the most perfect manner. After a few weeks it does soften a bit but not in a bad way. Our sleep is phenomenal with absolutely no more night disturbances or tossing and turning. If you've had it with soft plush beds that leave you feeling sore each day I cannot recommend this one enough. So worth the extra dollars. Best investment we've made.

We decided to swap an older I-Comfort for the Tempur-Pedic. We have a Tempur-Pedic in our guest room which used to be our mattress. After the I-Comfort started to break down, we decided to go with what we knew had like. There was a marked difference in the Tempur over the I-Comfort. We are sleeping better and waking up with no aches in pains. I would encourage buyers to go to a retail outlet and not buy on-line.

Two stars because I've only had it for a week, but so far I'm not impressed. I bought a firm Adapt but I feel like I'm sinking in. I have to constantly move from one side to the other at night because I feel like I'm falling into a hole. When I sit on the side of the mattress to get up to the bathroom at night, I have to switch sides or I'll roll out from the depression I created sitting on the side.

We bought something else. As soon as it was delivered, I think we instantly regretted it, but we lived with it for a decade. Crappy sleep finally caught up with us and we could tolerate it no longer. After a brief call with the customer service department to ensure we got the EXACT SAME MATTRESS as we had before, we ended up with the ProAdapt. First night, I got 4 hours of deep sleep according to my watch. I literally passed out on it. I've been sleeping like a dream ever since. We love this mattress and with their return policy, if it's not for you, you can return it.
