This mattress is VERY firm, it works well for my husband's back but too firm for me, luckily, I read the reviews and one person stated the mattress topper solved the probuand it really did! However, if there are two of you, I would highly recommend getting the split to keep everyone happy, especially when one wants the head up and the other would like it flat.

This mattress is way too hard it's like you sleeping on top of a exam table. They tell me was hard because it wasn't broken so they told me I need to walked on it so I did for weeks then they told me it was hard because my house was cool so I put a heating blanket on it I've had it nine months and the bed is just as hard as the day buy it... I HATE this mattress.....

This is a completely different and improved experience for us. I sleep on my back with wrist braces on and rarely turn side to side. I was having back pain each morning and would awaken early due to how uncomfortable the mattress was. We decided to finally bite the bullet and buy a new mattress. When shopping we came across many hybrids but when they told us that tempur-pedic was the brand recommended by doctors for people with back problems I was sold. Why not get the mattress I might need in the years to come anyway- its like wearing orthotics in your your shoes. We went for the hybrid model to have a little more structure to the mattress but got the more expensive version of the model we were looking at to get the few more inches of foam and I think it was worth it. Hopefully it may make our mattress comfortable for longer (that is our hope). I no longer wake up multiple times a night due to back pain or hearing the springs move and make noises when my husband tosses and turns. We both sleep much better. I no longer look forward to taking trips and having to sleep on a different mattress, because now I love mine and I know that nothing will match it when we travel. It's actually a great feeling to know that your best sleep is the sleep you have at home a majority of the time. I do recommend the 5'' bed base, the 9'' was too high and we would have needed a stool to get into bed. I really wanted a 7'' which is my one recommendation to temper-pedic but the 5'' feels natural for us when getting in and out of bed for people our height (5'6"-5'10"). We have had the mattress for 4-5 months now. We would definitely buy it again.

The product is very firm although it is supposed to be soft... NOT! It is very low to ground. The metal bar at foot of bed makes it impossible to sit at at end of mattress. Annoying!! I have a king mattress made up of two twin XL mattresses. The mattresses separate at center of bed causing a gap, which is uncomfortable. These mattresses are very expensive and I wish I could return!!!

The effect was immediate, no more tossing and turning nights. It took me a few nights to realize that I was sleeping so soundly that I wasn't awake tossing and turning, looking at the clock or getting up to go to my recliner. My aches and pains are gone or lessened. The mattress does not move when my husband does. The mattress is what it is hyped to be, a wonder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the adapt medium which was too soft for me and slept hot so I upgraded to pro adapt firm, it's A lot cooler and the sheets don't sink in and move around.. I noticed the beds do off-gas and need to air out for a few days. Final conclusion- the bed is outstanding it contours to your body the way it should and yes you can still sleep on your side. I am 34 years old and have been struggling with reoccurring back pain (from an injury that happened 7 years ago). I noticed with my last flare up that the pain was just getting worse and I'd toss and turn all night in excruciating pain (with my old mattress). I finally decided it was time to kick the old mattress to the curb and see if it was just adding to the problem... SO glad I did. I've never owned any kind of memory foam bed and I'm a side sleeper so this was a big change for me. Since the first nights sleep my back pain had completely diminished. I am a skeptical person, but it's been over 30 days now and my back/hip pain is gone. This mattress isn't too soft and it's not too firm, it's the perfect in between. I've even been falling asleep on my back (I've always been a side and tummy sleeper). I also decided to splurge and get the adjustable bed frame (they offered a good package deal), me and the hubby are quite happy with it... ;) I never leave reviews on anything but just not having to deal with the agitating back pain anymore is a pretty big deal to me, I love this mattress!!

It's been almost a month now since my purchase and I got to say it is very very comfortable. I'm a side sleeper and coming from a Beautyrest mattress (which slept warm) of 12 years this Pro Adapt Firm affords a cool comfortable sleep. The only problem I am still having is finding the right pillow to sleep on and I do not know if I'll ever find the right pillow. I have this mattress on an adjustable frame and to tell you the truth you have to get one. Reading in bed, watching TV and zero gravity positions are just so great . I had back surgery 8 years ago , the mattress supports me when I change position at night and my night pains are gone. Look, I always kept a pillow under my legs at night because by morning I was jumping in pain with spasms. now with adjusting the bed heights and raising the mattress by my legs no more spasms. In fact my whole body is very relaxed the next morning and I like that. This mattress and adjustable frame is worth every penny spent giving me peace of mind to pay off this expense over time
