This is the 3rd one I've had over many yrs. The last one lasted 10yrs and was still ok, but started to get little too soft. I like a very firm one. My first one was when I had back surgery and it "saved" my life. My back pain was excruciating, but minute I hit that bed, it was gone all night. It takes a few weeks, maybe a month or so to "break it in".. so I liked the firm one which is very firm, but after a couple weeks it settled in to my body. Now it's great. I'd strongly recommend you find a Temper-Pedic factory to try them out. They have a 90 day exchange policy, so you can use it for 90 days, and during that time you can exchange for a different one if you like. Highly recommend.

I've tried many mattresses over the years, and as a side sleeper, I was always left with shoulder and hip problems and pain. Add in a loudly snoring bulldog, and its a recipe for a sleepless night. That is, until I tried THIS bed. I knew that I would love it the moment I unwrapped the protective plastic and sat down on it. It was love at first seat. :D Not only do I sleep through the night (and sometimes my alarms), but I actually wake up feeling rested and not in pain. I like how the cover feels cool to the touch, and the mattress itself has enough firmness to keep me aligned, but the softness to sink in a bit to really get that cozy feeling. Even the dogs love it! :D The only thing that I wasn't a big fan of, and it's mostly dissipated, was the smell. Once unwrapped, it does have a bit of a chemical smell that needs to air out, but is definitely not a deal-breaker! *I received this mattress in exchange for my honest and open review.

What is so wonderful about my Tempur-ProAdapt mattress is that it contours to the shape of my body. There are times when I do not lay my head on my Tempur-Pedic pillows, and that is absolutely fine too if you ask me. So far, I own two mattress from Tempur-Pedic and I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is going to last me more than 20 years. With care, weekly laundry-washing, and the soft touch of Tempur-Pedic bedsheets and pillow covers, I know for a fact that IT IS GOING TO TAKE CARE OF ME! I wasn't sure about how long the "break in period" would take but after two weeks of sleeping on the mattress, I began to feel the difference and sleep better and better. I thought I bought the wrong firmness but after the 4th week, I knew I made the correct choice. After sleeping on other types of memory foam mattresses for over 10 years, I am totally convinced there is nothing better than my Tempur-ProAdapt. I will never go back to those other types and brands. Thank you Tempur-Pedic for giving me "The Best" mattress I've ever owned. Know more back pains or waking up several times in the night. I can't think of one thing I don't like or am sorry I spent a little more for a Tempur-Pedic. This is a quality product!

Love this mattress! Every aspect of this purchase went extremely well. Our sells person was very knowledgeable and a great help. Delivery was on time and setup went fast. Best of all we are getting a great nights sleep. I'm no longer awaken by my spouse getting up during the night. This is our first tempurpedic and we will never go back to the innerspring mattress.

I absolutely love my tempurpedic mattress. I have a rotator cuff and hip injury that always woke me up due to soreness. With this mattress, I sleep all night, wake up more rested, and my hip & shoulder are less irritated. I was very skeptical of all these reviews, and now I'm leaving one of my own! This mattress is a good investment for your health, so I highly recommend it if you have old injuries and pain that keep you up at night.
