I bought my Lifetime 8x10 shed Aug 1 , 2009. Installed it myself on a concrete pad. I used a youtube video to help putting it together which was great. The best advice is to have a bar of soap handy to lubricate the pieces as you assemble them. It really helps. While the plastic has grayed a little bit ( so have I) from 17 years of Pennsylvania weather, it has held up WELL. No leaks , no damage, no cracks etc. Once a year I empty it and powerwash the whole thing/ The door mechanism was never high security and has worn some but it still closes and latches fine. Overall I would recommend this brand of shed to anyone who wants to have a shed that lasts.

Just installed this shed over three days. LOVE it so far, but it is a lot of work to assemble. It arrived packaged very well in two large, very heavy boxes, strapped to a pallet. There are a ton of parts to it. We removed everything in our garage and did the initial assembly there. We moved all the main pieces close the the final location and assembled from there. It can be a little difficult with two people (instructions recommend 3) but we made it work. I would recommend watching the YouTube video before starting, it made a few things easier than the printed instructions. We would watch every section on the video right before starting that section's assembly. We ran into a problem due to our not paying better attention. We had one of the trusses backwards and didn't notice until we had all roof panels on and were installing the front gable. We had to remove a few of the panels, remove the truss and install it in the correct orientation. So pay attention, there is a front and back to the trusses. We did have to use a few shims to level out the doors but that was easy. We got everything completed on Sunday afternoon. That night we had an unforecast windstorm (40+ MPH) and had not anchored the shed to the foundation yet. I scrambled to find some lag screws and anchored the corners, but up to that point it had withstood the wind just fine. I will be completing the proper anchoring this week. I would advise having those parts (not included) on hand prior to assembly and complete that step at the same time. Overall extremely happy with the shed, hopefully it will withstand our winters and the snow we expect. Also see my review of the Lifetime Steel Foundation for this shed.

I bought my shed from Sam's club many many years ago. I love it plenty of storage for all my equipment. Right now I'm having problems with the doors not shutting properly. Both sides of the doors are hitting the middle of the frame on the top making the doors not want to close. I have to bend the top of the doors so they will close. Any suggestions on how to fix the doors so they close properly.

Just installed this shed over last weekend. It is well designed and pretty strong. It’s not difficult but took quite a bit of time for 2 of us. It feels like there are a thousand screws. We eventually figured it out and it wasn’t to bad. Just make sure you have a full day or 2 and a weekend of no rain. Overall a great product and glad we have something to store our outdoor things.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Starting from the delivery, it was a very easy process. The delivery driver got the pallet as close to the set-up spot as he could, and was very courteous. Directions were in multiple languages, and were very clear. There are a lot of parts, but all have their place in making this shed a very stable build. My wife and I put this shed together in about 4.5 hours. It may have taken less time with two tall males, but we made do and it worked out! Some of the parts took some maneuvering to get together, but that’s expected from a poly-shed versus one you build from wood. The skylights and windows allow in plenty of light so you can see what you’re doing inside the shed. There are vents on both gables to allow for a lot of air flow! We enjoy the design and colors of this shed. It will be used for many years to come!

Great product I purchased this shed and it was easy to put together as I watched the assembly video step by step and had a hand at putting the roof together.. very very strong shed with lots of snow supports so it makes a very sturdy shed .. would recommend this shed by far to everyone ... I looked at a lot of 10x8 sheds and this one is 10 times the shed compared to other manufactures...

I bought this shed and I have to say the quality is very high. The parts have a great finish and the instructions that came with it may be the best i’ve observed in a heck of a long time. I believe the made in America emblem was a good selling feature because as a Northern neighbour, made in America means its a good product and I support jobs on both sides of the border. I am a carpenter/builder and I can attest that while its a straightforward set of instructions you need to read them. Its as DIY friendly as is possible and maybe a bit much for the average weekend warrior. The engineering in this is amazing. If I had one suggestion it would be to indicate on the packaging which box contained the instructions. Lastly, for DIY folks, spend the time necessary to have a level pad or deck base. When it’s level, everything that follows will be both plumb and level.

Shed was delivered in two huge heavy boxes; all parts were well packed. Setup did take about 8 hours over the course of two days to setup. One thing I like about this is shed is that it is lightweight but sturdy. I like the skylights which light up the inside during the day. The only downside is that the instructions can be a bit confusing and some of the parts were mislabeled which made it challenging when trying to set the shed up. Overall, I am pleased with the quality of product received and looking forward to a LIFETIME shed!

Good value, sturdy components, lots of time required to lay foundation and then assemble the shed. My talented handyman assessed that a sturdy base if pavers was required for this unit, which took the better part of a day. He had two helpers who did that work, while he laid out the components for the shed, and began pre-assembly. The whole project took about a day and a half. Everything fits together well, and the end result is a shed which will probably last for many years with little or no maintenance . Unless weight is evenly distributed when full of "stuff," the shed may have to be balanced - with shims, in my case - not a biggie, but necessary to ensure the doors can be latched shut.
