I should have done better research. I don't think this is the best bed for my back. My degenerative disc disease has only gotten worse. I guess I just had a lot going on at the time and wasn't thinking as clearly as I should have when I purchased it.

It's firm enough to not hurt my back but the pillow top provides enough comfort to give me a good solid nights rest. When I wake up I am fully rested and not sore at all. I would definitely recommend deep pocket sheets to keep them from popping off while you sleep. It's a great mattress, and the handles make it really easy to move around when needed.

This is a pretty fantastic mattress, it offers lots of support, you can tell it's very high quality. The mattress I was sleeping on before was only two years old and never offered this type of support, this mattress literally hugs your body and doesn't put extra pressure on your joints. Me and my Beau, both have been sleeping on this mattress and have been sleeping much better and more soundly, my Beau has said his back and legs hurt less since we started using this mattress, it's also much quicker to get comfortable which has resulted in less tossing and turning. I would absolutely buy this product and recommend it to anyone looking for a new mattress, that is not only comfortable but provides support, it's worth every penny. The mattress itself is very luxurious looking, it has a nice blue and a beautiful pattern on the pillow top, you can see how high quality the stitching is and the soft handles make it very easy to move, it is a bit heavy-duty but I think that adds to the fact it's made to last. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product to try out. Let me start by saying this sterns and foster estate ultra firm mattress is amazing. It has given me the best nights sleep I have had in years. I have a bad hip and chronic back pain this mattress has eased the pain greatly. It is made well. The mattress also has handles that make it easier to move.

I have only had this mattress for a few weeks, still adjusting to the difference from my last mattress. As of today, I am very happy with my new mattress. My last mattress was a Simmons Fawndale Medium. I ordered the mattress March of 2019 and it only lasted 3 years before it started to sag.

After only a few weeks of use, this mattress the "Ellria" does not feel any better than the 16 year old Sears posturepedic mattress that I was replacing. When sitting on the edge there is a creaking sound every time you move. This mattress does not have good pressure point support after sleeping on it for a few hours. When first getting into bed it feels okay but within hours the top is condensed to feeling like you are on a board. Not the sleep or rest I expected for the price. I will never buy another Sterns and Foster. Many of the reviews I have read recently say that it they have had difficulty with the warranty. I am very disappointed in this purchase.

It has a smooth plush top that has amazing comfort. After sleeping on it a few nights I noticed I no longer had back and body aches. It felt like it was really sleeping on a cloud of pillows. I tried this for 30 days and I do not like all the memory foam in this mattress, it's too hot to sleep, I sweat all night long and I am used to a traditional innerspring mattress, and I do not like that there is no bounce back or is really slow to bounce back, the memory foam is very prominent. This mattress was not soft enough for me (my body would fall asleep if I was sleeping on my side and my shoulder would hurt) but may have been if it weren't for all the memory foam. I do have issues with back/neck pain. This was a good quality mattress and I hope Stearns and Foster changes or adds a model that doesn't have so much memory foam in a soft TT or soft pillowtop that is affordable. I would hope to try this in the future because it seems like a well-made mattress and I never experienced what they were like before Tempur-Pedic acquired them, maybe I would have liked them then but couldn't afford it at the time. Hope this helps someone, and I hope Tempur-Pedic can make a mattress without so much memory foam!

The overall quality is completely lacking on this mattress; there are pulled threads hanging off all over the pillow top and around the seams where the pillow top is sewed on, and there's at least one (that I've noticed so far) small hole in the fabric - absolutely not up to the level of quality you'd expect for a $3000+ mattress or from Stearns and Foster. And I'm not talking about a thread here or there, there's at least a dozen that I counted before giving up counting...they're literally all over the top of the mattress; the mattress was purchased brand new and delivered about 3 weeks after it's build date on the legal tag - can only assume this is a quality control problem. Functionally the mattress is comfortable and supportive except I notice myself sinking into the pillow top to a level I didn't perceive in the store - not a great sensation for me personally.
