[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I desperately needed a new mattress and we also purchased the adjustable base. I have a compression fracture in my back and was in a lot of pain. The adjustable base helped me to get in and out of bed easier & I could put the back up to help me get more comfortable.

The bed seems similar to the one we replaced. We had a Tempur-pedic Classic. The deliver went pretty well. However, if you are replacing an old bed, the delivery people should make sure the frame fits the new bed correctly. It does tend to be warm. However, it is not too warm. I just use less covers. It seems comfortable and I can only hope that it does not start sinking like the old one did. The new 10 year warranty is half of what the old ones had. The pillows we got are very nice. The down one is not hard like some of the other memory foam ones are. The cooling one seems to work well for my better half. She seems to like it. Only time will tell. As to warranty, the tags should have been placed either at the foot or on the side. To have to look at information at the head of the bed seems strange. Also, the corners of the foundation say to remove them. However, the delivery people did not remove them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have wanted a tempur pedic mattress for the last 15 years - and I finally got one. I had slept on one while a guest at a relative's house, and I have never had such an amazing and restful night of sleep. I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud! Unfortunately, it was explained to me that the tempur "adapt" mattress is the "original" tempur pedic mattress. So that was what was ordered for my house. I have had it for over a week, and I keep waking up in pain every morning. I am very disappointed, as it is not at all reminiscent of a traditional tempur pedic product, in my opinion. I am waiting on a team member to get back to me, so I can get a proper replacement. Fingers crossed

I have had the adapt about 3 weeks. No longer have shoulder pain still some back and neck pain. Not sure if my neck pain is coming from pillow or mattress. Going to change pillow tonight and see if that makes a difference. Also mattress was much firmer than I anticipated. Not sure if I like that yet,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With our old mattress My husband often woke up with shoulder pain and I always woke up with back pain - since getting our new Tempurpedic we have both slept more soundly and wake up refreshed - no pain. The only issue that we had was the offgassing of the mattress which prevented me from sleeping on it the first few nights - but I am very sensitive to fumes in general. After a few days of airing the bedroom out with fans it was fine and I have been thrilled with it since my first night on it.

We have the King Split Tempur Adapt....there must be better mattresses. It was fine in the store. My husband is getting great sleep. Both of us have back issues. I find the bed uncomfortable. I am not getting good sleep and my back does not feel better. Am thinking of returning my side of this bed. It is a lot of money for a mediocre experience.

I bought this mattress hoping to have a good experience, but all I did was waste my money on something that doesn't give me rest. The mattress sinks, and every day without exception I wake up with back pain, I have never had so much pain as now. The pain remains all day. I'm desperate because I spent a lot of money and I can't rest. I'm trying to find a solution, I hope Tempur can do something, since the investment is not cheap at all. When they solve the problem I will return with an update

We tried several stores and mattresses, and never tried a tempur-pedic throughout the time we spent mattress shopping. All other mattresses were mediocre but when we finally tried out the tempur-adapt medium model, my mind was immediately was made up. Unbelievably comfortable. Puts other mattresses to shame. Ive always had trouble falling and staying asleep until I bought this mattress! Now I sleep like a rock.

Recently engaged and realized we needed a bigger bed. Fiancé is 6'4" and my queen size Adapt was not suitable for us long term. There was no way I was going to revert back to different mattress and I don't think he wanted to either as he has become pretty spoiled with my mattress!

A fine product. I can't wait to get into bed each night. Maybe the very top surface of the mattress could be a tiny bit softer. I am sure time will probably produce that effect anyway. Sleeping on this mattress has improved my chronic back pain considerably.
