I had a split cal king tempurpedic bed for 16 years prior to this medium hybrid bed. This one is definately taking more time to break in. I have only had it for 3 weeks so it is an adjustment and taking my body some time to get used to the new firmness.

It has not lived up to expectations, with what we paid I expected a comfortable nights sleep but instead wake every morning with a back problem. Talked to several dealers before our purchase and for side sleepers was told which would be the best choice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every morning since we purchased our new mattress I say to my husband "I love this new mattress!" I settle in at zero gravity at night and next thing I know, it's morning and I've slept for 8 hours non-stop! And on top of the comfort I feel on my back, the mattress is actually cooling. I would wake up around 3am on our old mattress feeling warm and sweaty and throw the covers off. That no longer happens so I can now sleep through the night. Thank you, Tempur-Pedic!!

We have been sleeping on our king size TEMPUR-Adapt® Medium for about 3 weeks and we love it. We have been married for almost 50 years and this is the most comfortable mattress we have ever owned. I wish we had bought it years ago. We also have the cooling pillows and they are wonderful too. I am sleeping better and awake without back pain. The firmness is just right! Not too hard, not too soft. I no longer wake up because my hips or back is hurting from the pressure. Just try it and you will love it too.

I bought a King Size M ADAPT MEDIUM HYBIRD SET, It was delivered on 2-24-19. I've always wanted a Tempur- Pedic Mattress. Even though there quite Expensive, I know it's worth it. But it does take some getting used to, because it's totally different from my old Mattress that I hade for 11 years. How ever it is very Comfortable, and I LOVE, The coolness, as I do SUFFER from HOT FLASHES & NIGHT SWEATS. I wake up with less back pain and body aches. But for some reason I am experiencing neck pain's, I'm not sure if it's the mattress being so soft, or my pillow not being supportive enough. So that's why I gave it 4 stars. I do LOVE THIS MATTRESS SET!!!!

We have only had our bed for 5years and 8 months. We have about a 2 ft crack in the foam . They will not cover it because they said we don't have an approved cover on it. And they are saying that we spilled water on it. We don't drink or eat in our bed . This company is a scam they don't stand behind their products. It's a very expensive mistake we paid over 2,000 dollars for this junk product

We purchased our mattress in December of 2016 and I was excited to try it out. I was hoping that the memory foam would help with my shoulders, low back, etc. My husband didn't have any issues. When we went to the store to check the mattresses out, the salesman made a big deal about us laying down on the mattresses so we could select the one that best fit our needs. Well the Medium firm mattress felt wonderful. And we laid on it for quite a while. We also tried the Soft one and it was very soft and didn't seem to have any support. So after discussing with the salesman, he said that it would probably take 60 days to break in the mattress so that it would be like the one we tried in the store. And if we were not happy with it, we could return it for a different one. Within 30 days, both my husband and I could hardly walk when we got up in the morning. The mattress was so hard. I put a foam pad on it and that helped a little. So we went back to the store to see if we could get a different one. They said we should give it more time and that we should not have added the foam - well they weren't sleeping on the darned thing. They also said we could trade it in for the Soft mattress but it would cost more money. I was really frustrated. The thing already cost us an arm and a leg, I felt we had already paid too much and didn't want to pay more money only to find out the soft one wouldn't work either. They also said that the reason the medium mattress felt so good at the store was because so many people had laid on it, trying it out, so it was broken in really good. So we went home disappointed and feeling like we were ripped off and determined to make the mattress work for us so we didn't have to pay more money to the store. After 90 days, the mattress was still as hard as it had been day 1. So we put the foam pad back on it. It has now been over 2 years and it is still as hard as it was on day 1. And yes, the foam pad is still on there. With the foam pad, we aren't limping out of bed. I firmly believe we were delivered the hard mattress. Lessons learned - (1) it does not help to try out mattress in the store, as they are not what you will receive; (2) don't believe the salesman when he says you can bring it back, there will be a catch; (3) buy a cheaper mattress so you can afford to get another one when the new one doesn't work out. I'm writing this at 1:30 am because I can't sleep, my shoulders are aching from laying on the mattress.

The best thing about the TEMPUR-Adapt Medium Hybrid mattress is that my wife doesn't feel anything when I toss and turn. I'm a restless sleeper, and I tend to move around a lot during the night. With our old traditional box spring / mattress set-up, every time I would fidget, she would feel it. Our new TEMPUR-Pedic mattress absorbs my moving around and she gets to continue with her blissful slumber. Also, I'm a tummy sleeper (when I finally settle down), and this mattress was rightly recommended for this type of sleeper. This is our first foam mattress, so I'm still getting used to the way it "hugs" me and the "sinking in." I might have preferred a firmer option, but I'm not willing to give up on this new experience so quickly. Finally, I can only wait till summer to find out whether this is a "hot" mattress. We bought this in Wintertime, so that's my biggest worry right now.

We bought tempur adapt med with the power base. WORST purchase ever. Waste of $4000. Don't buy from tempur authorized retailers. Paid cash april 2023, Took 3 weeks and threatening to have the debit reversed for delivery, white glove delivery is 2 teens with your mattress out of the box strapped to a short bed pickup with the base folded in the dirty bed. The mattress is so hard even after 6 weeks we had to add a topper to make it bearable. When the base is used the mattress does not bend and floats above the base unless you sit on it and then the foot of the bed just bends straight up from the hip leaves 18 inches of space between the bottom of the mattress and the base. There is NO support from tempur if you buy from a retailer and tempur doesn't care if they have bad retailers. When called Tempur didn't even care when the retailer delivered FAKE tempur pillows and sheets (different brand on the tags and packaging sold as tempur) I wonder about the mattress being fake too as it's not like the one we tried. And beware tempur does not require the 90 night trial be honored by their retailers or the free returns/exchanges. So if you want to try one of these don't use an "authorized" retailer because tempur doesn't back the purchase. The only time i wish i would have bought online.

Let me give you a little background... My husband describes me as the princess and the pea.... let me tell you I'm PICKY on mattresses. In the last few years we've gone through about 4-5 different ones and I almost about gave up and felt that I would just deal with back pain the rest of my life. I was seeing chiropractor on the weekly and my hip and sciatic pain was out of control. I woke up every morning miserable and glad it was morning so i could get out of bed. BUT NOW THATS ALL CHANGED! I told my husband we had to cough up the money and buy something nice, it had to work! My friends always rave about their tempur mattresses so We bit the bullet and tried the hybrid (less of a sink in mud feeling). The first few nights as it was breaking in were a little rough, but we walked in it and left the sheets off during the day to hurry the process. After a few days I was pain free. I couldn't believe it! This mattress saved my back, and i no longer see the chrio and hobble around. Its honestly been life changing!!! I hope it can be your miracle too! Ps- got the cloud pillow and it's FABULOUS. Highly recommend.
