It took me about a week to get used to this mattress. The first night I could hardly fall asleep, and then the next few nights it took longer than normal, and I worried I had made an expensive mistake. But now that I'm used to it I'm sleeping much better than I did before and my back & neck pain have diminished.

We looked at Tempur Pedic for 3 reasons: 1. I sleep hot 2. I have lower back pain 3. I'm allergic to latex The mattress we chose is firm and cool. Even my sheets feel great whereas before I would wake up in a puddle of sweat! Although not totally gone, my back is 99% better. We got the adjustable base and couldn't be happier with our sleeping and reading options. Pricey yes, but worth every penny!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my Pro adapt bed! Back ache is nearly gone, my husband's snoring is minimal with just a push of a button. What more could I ask for? Nothing beats a good night's sleep. So much that I bought another one (temper-cloud that comes rolled up) for our cabin in the mountains. A splurge? Yes but comfort is worth it! Only downside to new one; a tad bit too firm. Now I need a 1" topper but can only find a 3" which is too squishy for me.

This mattress seems a bit hard at 1st however did get softer in the next few months. We are both heavy people and we have jumped on the bed a few times, never has an issue. I ordered this online, took less than 2 weeks for delivery. Delivery was so easy and professional. Worth the $$ especially if you add uo all the years of different mattress purchases in your lifetime. We enjoying it!

We heard folks say they have to break it in, but that wasn't our experience. We used to get out of bed early and now we find every excuse to sleep in as late as possible. We LOVE it! We always wake up refreshed and it is just so comfortable. We recommend it to everyone!

I needed a new mattress. I purchased the Tempur-Pro Adapt Firm. Long story short. No more back pain. sleeping like a baby. Do yourself a favor get this mattress if you have lower back pain. I could not believe that changing my mattress would change my life. Get the base also. It is worth every penny. Sleep comfort is so important. Run and get this mattress. You will not regret it.

This mattress is very comfortable for back sleepers that don't move around. Laying on either side gives me sore hips and shoulders-which I never expected would happen with the coils inside-it feels like laying on a slab of solid foam that doesn't give enough to transfer away from pressure points. I have a split king and the two sides slide apart to easily always with a big gap between them. They're too lightweight and should have side guards to keep them in place like they do at the bottom

I wanted a firm mattress and it is very firm, but still conforms to my body and ended up being the perfect combination of support and conformity for me. I believe that owning a Tempur-Pedic mattress and pillow that is the right one for you is the key to achieving a restful night sleep and pain free. I no longer have to go for a biweekly massage that, oftentimes, only causes more neck and back pain. What is so wonderful about my Tempur-ProAdapt mattress is that it contours to the shape of my body. There are times when I do not lay my head on my Tempur-Pedic pillows, and that is absolutely fine too if you ask me. So far, I own two mattress from Tempur-Pedic and I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is going to last me more than 20 years. With care, weekly laundry-washing, and the soft touch of Tempur-Pedic bedsheets and pillow covers, I know for a fact that IT IS GOING TO TAKE CARE OF ME! The bed was firmer than expected when it arrived. After 45 days it is starting to break in. The edges of the bed are soft and sink when we sit on them. The bed is necessary for my husband who needs to elevate his upper body when he sleeps. The beds are difficult to change the sheets and the mattresses slide apart often.
