We have cycled through a number of mattresses, believing the hype, falling for the direct to consumer marketing, hoping beyond hope that the next mattress to arrive would be the one to solve all the aching sleepless nights. We finally broke down and ordered the Tempur-ProAdapt FIRM (the firm part is important!) after breaking through our weird thinking that a Tempur-Pedic mattress was out of reach for us. The mattress arrived and even the delivery team remarked on it's firm-ness. The first night of sleep was terrible for me because I was constantly waking up wondering if I was comfortable or not. The second night was a little better, the third night a little better...by the second week of sleeping on the mattress I honestly cannot imagine sleeping on anything else. We are combination sleepers - both side and back - and we are of average weights. The firm mattress supports our backs, doesn't make our arms fall asleep, and we stay asleep longer. In fact, I have been getting, on average, 1.5-2 more hours of sleep each night because I'm not driven from the bed by my discomfort!

To say that it is hard to find comfort on a bed is an understatement, and my husband similarly. At first I thought it was a little too stiff but just give it 15 minutes and the places that are putting pressure on the bed will really sink in. I ordered direct from the website. The mattress was scheduled to be delivered about a week later. The drivers were top notch and quite courteous, took all the trash with them and did all the lifting. Great follow through as well from the web order staff afterwards to make sure everything was okay. The first night your body is getting used to it, the second night you sleep quite soundly, the third night you start to realize your husband isn't snoring anymore. Worth it's weight in gold! ~M

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has taken me a little over a week to adjust but my app tracker is showing an improvement in my REM sleep times. It has helped my back some by adjusting the head a little while I sleep. Great for watching my tv shows in too.

I've been trying this for over a month. I've been trying to give it a try, but it's just not the right to bed for me. I'm 5"3 and 135 pounds. I'm a strict side sleeper. I noticed I toss and turn a lot, I wake up with my back and sides very sore. At first I was having a lot of trouble with my hips and building up pressure points, but that got better over time. But overall I just think it's too firm for a side sleeper of my weight. I definitely need more softness. I don't recommend this for side sleepers under 150 pounds. Go softer !!!! But I must admit the customer service has been great, and the quality of the foam is superb. It's a great high density , slow response form which is great. But so far it's just not working out for me. I will be returning.

Putting aside the long back-story of how I went from bed to bed for years not finding comfort or consistent sleep, Tempur-Pedic has saved my life! By far the best purchase I have ever made. When I get into the ProAdapt mattress, my focus becomes SLEEP. It is an amazingly advanced mattress in terms of quality, support, and still provides a plush, cloud-like feeling as if you're slowly sinking into the bed, long after you've already laid down. I am getting full nights sleep EVERY night now, am having no issues whatsoever with the product or their wonderful support team, and encourage anyone who is looking to buy a new bed to truly consider making it a TEMPUR-PEDIC purchase! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had tempurpedic beds for 26 years. I doubt I'll ever have any other brand. My old bed was pretty old and broken down. My back pain was horrible all day. My new tempurpedic bed is Wonderful! After a few weeks my back pain is normal (minimal) and I sleep all night long. I love my bed and look forward to climbing in each night.

It took 5 weeks to get the bed. It's a real nice bed I haven't slept this good for a long time. The down side is that if I wake up in the middle of the night whatever part of my body is in contact with the mattress is hot and sweaty. It's no wonder why the charge a couple more thousand to get one of the cooling mattresses. Those are the reasons why i rated it a 3/5.

I can not tell you how much this bed has improved my quality of life. It is the most comfortable mattress I've ever had. I wake up feeling well rested and refreshed. What felt like an extremely expensive luxury, is now totally worth every cent, and I couldn't imagine living without it.

The hybrid was perfect for us because it wasn't too firm like memory foam sometimes is, and it has little bounce/give that you need to not feel like your on a firm piece of foam. I don't wake up with a sore back anymore and the king size provides plenty of room.
