I have used this sponge for many years. I have switched and tried less expensive brands and generics but have ALWAYS come back to the Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge for my toughest dish washing needs. I have used it for tough camping pots and pans, grills, stuck on foods and even for items like bath tub soap scum. The ability to scrub and clean with the same sponge is efficient. The sponge rinses clean and does not retain odors after using if rinsed well. Many times I have sent my "hubby" back to the store and said buy the real thing.

Love how long it lasts. Love the contour shape that fits my hand. Cleans pots and pans yet gentle for glasses and my hands. When you compare how long it lasts and how well it does the job the slight difference in price from the others is well worth it, just try it yourself and see, you will be amazed.

I have used the Scotch Brite Heavy Duty sponges for several years. These sponges last and last. They are very tough, I use them on everything. When I want to sanitize it, I put it through the dishwasher and it's good to go. I've tried others but they just don't hold up as well or clean as well.

...I do my BEST to create a safe, healthy environment for my children. As such, I do not trust any other brand of sponges (and we use several types, although we could only pick one for this review, btw) for kitchen cleanliness. Thanks Scotch-Brite! :)

I have been using this product for many years!!! The sponge lasts & lasts!!! I use it for washing dishes, walls, scrubbing spills off the carpet, cleaning the tub, wiping a stubborn stain off of tile, and so many other uses!!! I drop it in the laundry or the diswasher, and it's clean!!! It doesn't fall apart!!! it's just like BRAND NEW!!! AGAIN!!! I would NEVER use another sponge!! I have tried other products, but they don't even come CLOSE to Scotchbrite!!! Thank you for a WONDERFUL, economical,TRULY GREAT product!!!

My cookware is very old and aluminum. It was very high quality in its time. It had become very stained and discolored. Using the heavy duty scrub sponge with a little old fashioned cleanser and elbow grease I was able to restore it to almost its original splender. Enough so that I no longer want to replace it. I used Scotch-Brite scrub sponges for decades. Loved 'em. The perfect sponge shape and lasted for a long time. The biggest thing wrong with these new-design sponges is the shape. I'm sure you guys love how "easy they are to hold in your hand" (?), but I don't use them to clean my hands. I use them to clean pots, pans, containers, and dishes--of all different shapes, and this new design messes up what used to be a totally easy process. The sponge no longer "fits" with cleaning kitchenware simply and easily. I'll use up what I have as quickly as possible and never buy them again (unless you wise up and bring back the older and better design).

We always have these in our kitchen. They are great a clearing up about anything. Of course they are not meant to clean surfaces which may scratch, but otherwise we use them to clean everything else. They work great in the garage - cleaning tools, surfaces, parts of our cars.

I have and use your heavy duty sponges almost every single day. They work great and even get coffee stains and other difficult to remove stains off of my kitchen counters and wherever else in the kitchen I need to use them as on the fridge. Our dishwasher cleans them well every time I was them. My hint is to place them on the top rack of my dishwasher. This way, they get desinfected with each wash and are like brand new all over again. I do use a wondeful kitchen cleaner which is a well known product while I am cleaning with your Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Sponges. I also use them on my pots and pans as well as on the stove and all my kitchen appliances. I do use the more soft side for those areas. I would like to buy your sponges with the handles to help my hands from getting the detergents on them. I'm sure that all of your products are wonderful and I intend to purchase all of them some day as needed. I highly recommend all of your Scotch Brite product to any one who hasn't tried them yet and will continue to use them Sincerely, Suzie2

my son decided to cook........bad idea. i am not sure what he made that night but i had to soak my pan for two days. i ruined a couple sponges i had and decided to go buy a stronger one. i bought scotch brite heavy duty sponge and was able to make my pan look like new. i was able to use the sponge after that as well. i was happy and so was my son. he would have had to buy me a new pan. since then, i do not use any other sponges. these are the best!
