I have 42.5 inch hips and weigh 170lbs. I bought the size L and it fits perfectly. I washed them in cool and air dried after purchase and they didn’t shrink. Quality seems good so far. Plus points for the fabric for being organic cotton. They also stay in place, with jeans you will see panty lines.
