We have used Preen for years. It saves a lot time by preventing weeds for the entire summer. This large package was the best price I found. I recommend buying the hand held spreader. It makes getting an even application easy.

Use this stuff on All your landscaping at least twice a year. Spread it liberally on wetted ground. Does not harm any vegetation that has already germinated, but it effectively prevents the unwanted weeds from germinating. I mix it with the soil when planting new garden areas. Distribute this product over decorative bark and rock areas to keep the weeds from taking hold.

After preparing the area and then apply the Preen before or after mulching, either way works. I am not as patient as I should be in applying this product, but I learned to slow down a bit, use the scoop to spread, just like instructions say, I don’t go through it so fast and the weed block layer lasts almost all season

Preen keeps my flower beds looking good, while keeping weeds at bay.
