I want to first say I love Sam's pickup service, but unfortunately, I've learned not to order fresh foods with them. I recently ordered 5 lbs of sweet potatoes, and their pick was horrible. There is no way, or at least I hope there wasn't, the picker checked the product they picked for me. The potatoes were misshapen, had hard inedible areas, and there was some mold. Looking at other reviews, mine weren't the only ones. A while ago I ordered fresh broccoli. It wasn't what I expected and it smelled bad straight out of the bag.

I buy sweet potatoes often from local grocery stores which are sometimes not worth cooking & eating. I tried these and will buy every week going forward! I cannot tell you the last time I could actually ‘smell’ the potatoes as they cooked! They are a beautiful color and full of flavor! Please Sam’s Club… don’t stop carrying these!

These look like nice sweet potatoes but when I cooked them, the good, rich flavor of a sweet potato was missing. The inside texture remained too hard and chewy, even after being cooked for a good while! It seemed like they had developed that undesirable 'wooden' texture throughout the sweet potato. I used only two potatoes. Will see how the rest of the bag is...

I buy this product pretty regularly. But for the last several months, I have had issues with these sweet potatoes not being FRESH. They have large pock marks that need to be cut out. It's like they've been sitting around for months in a warehouse.

I roasted some of these within a couple days of purchasing and they were delicious. Two days later I wanted to make mashed sweet potatoes, pulled the bag out, and had a bag full of rotten mush. This is one of three products that went bad within a few days of a single shopping trip. Do better Sam’s Club!
