I was a little skeptical about the A/C thinking that it may be more looks than actual performance, but I have to say it delivers on both. It is much quieter than most A/Cs so it isn't disruptive (especially on the initial settings). Further, it cools my room efficiently. I also really love that the airflow is pointed upward, not only does that more effectively cool a room, but it also means that direct cold air isn't blowing on me based on my position. All in all, I would highly recommend.

It is absolutely all those great things that other reviewers described: beautiful aesthetically, easy to set up, very quiet & it cools our bedroom so that we can once again have a comfortable & good night's sleep!! Tried troubleshooting with a technician for my gifted ac unit. The tech was very knowledgable and prompt. Told me what steps to take. turns out my unit needed to be replaced so they sent me a replacement in which I recieved days later. Very quick service and shipping. Highly recommend their customer service can't be beat!

I really like it. The set up was pretty simple but I wish there was more than 1 long screws to install into the window. Apart from that, the unit is nice and keeps my apartment comfortable If I were to request anything it would be to have some premade automations. Like turn down in the evenings and blow colder at noon idk I just don’t have the drive to figure out what the heck is going on for this. Some premade ones that are generic would be nice.

I love my new Windmill AC, especially being able to check my apartment's temperature while I'm at work and adjust the thermostat remotely so things are cool by the time my young family gets home. Even after I had problems with a few things, the support team was absolutely incredible and super responsive to all my needs. I felt very well taken care of, and I'm so thrilled that I tried out this new company!

I purchased a Windmill directly from the manufacturer. Upon installation, I noticed it didn't seem to cool the room very much. I contacted customer service, and Lisbeth helped me run some troubleshooting ideas. When those didn't work, she arranged for delivery of a new unit to arrive the next day, free of charge. She was so helpful and communicative and I really appreciated the level of service and care. Thank you Lisbeth! Now I have the new unit installed and it works great! I've noticed that eco mode works best under 70º or so; for higher temperatures I have to use the cool setting. I love that everyone in the household is able to control the unit from our phones, and am very happy with this purchase. Thank you!

I was looking for a clean, minimal style air conditioner that wouldn't take up a ton of room or make a lot of noise like my previous units. My new Windmill unit has been a dream. It's modern, stylish, and the noise level is low. I also love controlling it from the app when I'm out and coming home. Highly recommend!

I had a problem with my 8300 windmill following a terrible electric storm. I went online and was in contact with windmill support team where they had try a few things but it was quickly determined I needed a new unit. They took my address and mailed me my new unit. This is the 3rd windmill unit I have in my home and when the Friedricks units go upstairs I will replace them with 2 more windmill units. Love the build the ease on installation and how cool it looks

Cools room down rapidly and efficiently; energy bill isn’t as high as my previous AC Fits PERFECTLY for window size in width 24 inches Relatively quiet, modern look gives it an appearance that resembles Apple products Using app on phone is a game changer; you can control it from anywhere! Love that the air blows upwards doesn’t hit my face or body (important if you will sleep next to unit like me) AC informs you when to change/clean filters; if you don’t use continuously you can change it at a later time. I have it running in the night next to my bed and it never wakes me up! P.S. I hardly write reviews but this 6,000 BTU packs a punch, is easy to set up and use! Overall a satisfied customer will most definitely purchase another one soon!

I chose the Windmill 12k BTU over a cheaper, different brand 12k because of the direction of the airflow, and it's awesome and so worth it. It cools the room effectively without it being a jetstream of cold air in one direction (my window is nearly behind my couch, so past ACs have directed the blast at the back of my head). The first unit arrived and had a strange rattle in it, but we installed it anyway. Within a day it froze over with an inch of ice all over the insides. Contacted customer service and they responded super fast-- walked us through a few questions and quickly determined it was likely a damaged unit. Warrantee claim initiated, and a new unit arrived within a week. Honestly I couldn't believe how excellent the customer service was. If I need another unit for another room in my house, I'm going with Windmill because I know if any issues arise they will be taken care of promptly and efficiently. My only gripe is I wish there was a little more control within the app-- if set to "cool" the unit seems to keep cooling even as the room temp drops below the set value. It would be nice if it powered off and back on later, but maybe it switches to fan only and that's enough? It could be nice to link it with a different thermostat reading too, as it's interpretation of what temp the room is at seems a bit off when on eco or sitting idle. I imagine these things might get dialed in with some software updates. I'm also a big fan of actual buttons on the unit. If I can't find my phone I can still turn it on and choose settings and temps without any difficulty. All in all, love you guys. Great product, great company. Keep it up!
