This umbrella is extremely hard to open and close - very tight. I had a relative look at it yesterday and he said there is something wrong with the gears. The gear cover needs to be taken off and the gears checked. It may or may not be fixable. Color is great and size is good. I have had other umbrellas and they never made a noise opening and closing or felt extremely hard to crank.

We bought our umbrella in June. I was somewhat skeptical based on the price and a few negative reviews. So far our experience has been terrific. Cranks up and down quite easily and I like the ability to tie it up when closed in the event heavy weather is in the forecast. Pole is sturdy and the size is pretty standard -- it fit through the opening in our deck table and also into the base I used with the prior umbrella. I am looking forward to easy storage during winter as the unit comes apart into two sections. This makes set up and take down a breeze. I highly recommend this umbrella.

Great! We purchased 3 of these umbrellas a few wks ago. They look great & Im hopeful they live up to the Sunbrella” material reputation as our previous umbrellas have.

This patio umbrella is made with extreme attention to detail and quality. It is easy as pie to assemble and operate, and looks/serves us beautifully over our 8ft (maybe actually 10ft?) rectangular Polywood table.

We loved this umbrella until a slight breeze toppled it over. The picture shows the umbrella freestanding in a umbrella stand, however, this umbrella would be better in a table set.

Purchased early May 2922. Returned for refund after receiving defective replacement...that failed with first use. Suggestion, get rid of the plastic crank mechanism.

my local store also had this umbrella but not the color i wanted so ordered it on line didn't have to fit it in my car and the color i wanted easy peasy!

Nice quality, however, rain mists/seeps through so much that you get up and run for cover due to getting wet. I just wish I would have known this before purchasing.

This umbrella is awesome ~ its the second one I purchased for our deck and I sure wish I found this umbrella first!! I paid twice as much for the first one & this one is so much better!! Highly recommend!!

On our first attempt at using this umbrella, we put the pole into a base and not but a few minutes later the pole snapped in half about 6" up from the bottom.
