I just assembled this set yesterday. It took a while. I did it myself in about 3 hours. The instructions are fairly clear but often matching screws was a challenge. The alphabet letters on the wood pieces did not always match the instructions provided. When you open the 3 large boxes it really looks like a daunting task. And it is. All I noticed under assembly required before purchase was "tighten screws". That's very true, but you must assemble the entire set. Oh joy! If you buy this set just a couple of tips for install.Get a helper to hold the wood pieces when your attempting to assemble. Empty all boxes and group all like pieces.When you insert screws don't tighten all the way until all pieces are fit together. Once you get it built, it is a really nice set. The quality is high, the seat and back cushions are thick and fairly comfortable.

I am so, so, so happy with this set. It came 2 weeks sooner than expected so we'll have set up and ready to go in time for Memorial Day! It came in 3 HUGE boxes and every piece has to be assembled. I was prepared for the assembly to lead to a bit of marital strife, but it went really smoothly! All the holes lined up easily and there was very minimal frustration in that regard. I definitely think you need 2 people and it took me and my husband about an hour and a half or 2 hours to assemble all 8 pieces. Once you get in a rhythm they start to go pretty quickly. Everything looks perfect and more importantly, is very, very comfortable. I can see myself laying outside on this for hours with a good book. I did take the extra step to put teak oil on all the pieces to really bring out the richness of the teak. That took about another hour and a half, but since I prefer the warm brown teak rather than the grey weathered look it was worth the time and effort to slow down the aging process. I will also say the red-orange color is a little lighter than it appeared on my computer screen. I actually like the color in person even better than what was shown on the screen, it pops beautifully against our tan/beige siding and green lawn. It's so nice how the cushions have velco straps to hold them in place. BEAUTIFUL!! Couldn't be happier.

We bought this set in 2011 and, at that time, off white was the only color available. Although we had a covered patio, I worried about how this set would hold up with exposure to heat and humidity (deep south here). I admit to being lazy and did not want to get furniture that had to be babied. This was a great choice for us! Set is very well made and sturdy. I was initially intimidated by the number of boxes delivered, but assembly was relatively fast and easy. Furniture comes with bolts to arrange a permanent configuration, but we like to change it, so did not use. Modular pieces make this a very functional set! Pieces are heavy enough to stay in place, so no need to bolt together. Cushions are a little stiff, but quite thick and have two layers of batting on each side. Covers are removable with well made zippered openings. It is not a simple matter to remove the covers, but I have only needed to remove them twice in six years. Both times were to wash the covers and they are easy to clean and still look new. I chose not to use teak oil, but decided to let the wood weather and they are a light silvery gray. My one maintenance concession is to wash the pieces down using dish detergent, a hose, and a rag, at the start of the summer season. As I said, we do have a covered porch, so the cushions don't really get wet, but even with off white fabric, the cushions look like new! We store the cushions in winter and they are quite large and require a good amount of storage space. I was reluctant to spend so much money for furniture without seeing and feeling. However, comparable sets at our local stores were twice the cost, so we took the risk and could not be more pleased. I fully expect to get another ten years of use from this set! I highly recommend!!

i've been researching for a sectional for our newly built screened in porch all summer. comparing this with pottery barn which i love, the price was almost HALF and the quality is far beyond my expectations. we have had it for about two weeks and absolutely love it. the only drawback is the only one light color, its almost light creamy color and you can see the dirt on it (i have two children under the age of 4) but it comes out easily when you vacuum it with the brush roll. it comes slipcovered so you can take them off and wash when needed. i highly recommend this to anyone looking for a high quality sturdy and fashionable piece of furniture.

We purchased this teak sectional set with the blue cushions for our Northern California patio. It was delivered on time and assembly went smoothly. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the wood and how comfortable the cushions were to sit on. The blue color of the fabric was beautiful. Key word "WAS". We have owned this sectional exactly one month and the blue fabric cushions have faded severely! The color is now a dull grey. We flipped one seat cushion and took a side by side picture of the faded exposed area to the underside "non-exposed". The different is as heart breaking as it is infuriating. We wanted to LOVE this seating set but are very disappointed that this manufacturer dropped the ball when selecting the fabric. I wish I could post the pictures of how severely and rapidly the color faded from the fabric in a matter of four weeks. This site doesn't allow for pictures so you will have to take my word for it. We spent so much time researching reviews on-line and finally decided on this set based on the 5 star reviews. I find it interesting that it "appears" no one else has experienced this faded fabric issue with the blue cushions. So, to avoid someone else making the same mistake, I felt it necessary bring this important issue to light. Our one month old outdoor seating set looks like it has been baking in the sun for four years, not four weeks!! This is a large set with a lot of cushions! Spend your money wisely. Pay a little more for quality fabric (which was NOT an option here). I learned my lesson the hard way. You get what you pay for.

I got this set last summer and am using it again this summer by a swimming pool. The set is very nice and was much, much lower in price than the exact same set I saw advertised other places (at least those other websites used the exact same picture). The cushions are white and do show some staining from weather and stuff (I hope it's not mildew). I may try bleaching them -- it's just the seated cushions, not the backs. Overall, very nice piece. I used TeakGuard on it to keep it the golden color or else it will gray. I would recommend.

Product seems to be well made and very happy with it so far. Our 8 piece sectional was packed with an mis-marked base. Received an extra corner seat base and was missing a standard seat base. Was clearly mislabeled. Sent photos and email to the company. Received this as a gift from older relatives so we do not have the purchase receipt. Thought they would just exchange since we had the complete packing, pictures, etc. They refused to do anything without the receipt. We then asked if we could just purchase the seat base. They again refused. Do not understand why they would not want to correct their error or at least allow you to purchase the part THEY messed up. Not sure what this means if a component breaks later. Seems like they would refuse to sell you any replacement parts. For the cost of this product you would think they would prefer satisfied customers. I agree with other raters that have had to deal with the company on any issues. Like the product but would not do business with this company in the future. Terrible customer service and completely unwilling to resolve their errors. I guess we are stuck with a 7 piece sectional for the price of 8 piece sectional.

I ordered this set to replace my old sofa style set. Needed something that would hold up to the elements better. Wow! It's considerably bigger but still allows me the same versatility of rearranging the pieces for whatever I'm doing. The cushions are nice and around 6 inches thick. Love that they velcro around to keep them from blowing around (though I do take them inside every time.) It's seems very solid but is still easy to move. Wish I would've found this sooner!

These cushions look great - I agree with all the positive reviews. However, with my 3rd season coming up, it needs to be mentioned that they unravel at the fabric edges in the seam allowances, which are very small. You can either zigzag the seam allowance, which is difficult as the cording prevents getting in close enough, or seal them. I sealed mine using a hot knife, which should have been used in the first place when the fabric was cut out in order to prevent this problem. You just need to barely touch the edges to do this if the knife is really hot. This is a job that needs to be done with great care so you don't burn either yourself or the "good" fabric. . I use a metal baking sheet for the solid surface needed. It is possible there are products out there to do this as well.

A little bit of work to assemble, but worth it. We applied linseed oil to the wood to give it a rich look, and it is the finest outdoor furniture I've seen. The white cusions attract dirt/stains easily, but we scotchguarded them and it helps. I especially like that you can configure the individual chairs as you like, and attach them for greater stability.
