I have had it for a year now, and of course there has not been a power outage since the installation. However I did decide to run a simulation of an outage and was very happy with the results. My only issue is the description provided on Generac’s website, makes it sound like the noise level is just above the level of an air conditioner. If I had an air conditioner that loud, I would be worried!!

I had a 200amp transfer switch installed by my home builder so all I had to do was buy a generator and run the wiring. I decided to get the 22kw air cooled generac. What a simple unit to install on your own. Very detailed instructions and initial setup was a breeze. I went with the weekly exercise schedule for my generac. Only bad thing is that my utility company power has only went out once and it was only about 30 minutes. Had absolutely zero issues during those 30 minutes.

The first time I needed my generator, thee was a problem with "hunting" for the core ct RPM. I called a local dealer for repairs. He adjusted fuel mix, and said the problem was resolved. The next start up, I had the same issue. This time, he replaced the mixer. Weeks later, there was a loud buzzing fr the mixer. Once again. I got a new mixer. Problem solved, for now.

I just purchased a 22kw generator by generac happy with it so far haven't had a chance for for it to kick on but at installation time it ran very well looks good I like the price very happy with it I would recommend it to any one wanting a home standby generator

This is the second Generac generator that I have purchased. The first was for a prior home that I have used for years. Whenever there was a power outage it turned on immediately like old faithful. Always there to back us up. I am now in a new home and have purchased another Generac generator for it. I was happy to leave the first generator for the family that bought my first home. I know they will appreciate having it.

I have had the 22KW Generac Generator almost a year now and has worked great when the power went off on several occasions. Living in a new neighborhood we have had outages do to construction in the area. The latest one was for about 5 hours, the generator did the job of keeping my house powered. The only way I knew it was running was it sounded like someone was cutting my back yard with a lawnmower. I highly recommend this generator for your whole house needs. I gave a 4 star on value for price not for the generator, but the installation cost.

We have had this Generator for a very short time. However, we have had a generator at another location, which led us to purchase this one for our current home. We are very pleased with Generac. It's appearance is streamlined, it is very easy to access for data, etc., and the noise level is low. The features are exactly as we wanted, auto switch, etc.

Love the smaller size, equally powerful, and talks to me! So many updates from the original generator it replaced! Very reassuring getting email alerts telling me it is testing and 'Ready to run'!!! No more guessing if it is working. Direct communication with Generex is an added bonus! Best feature ever!!

It's a good feeling knowing that we will not lose power to the house if the power goes out for some reason. I live in Florida just a few miles from the Treasure Coast so we are subject to the impact of Hurricanes. In fact, not long after we moved here in late September, we experienced Hurricane Mathew and the power to our house went out shortly after the winds reached Tropical Storm Strength. I had a portable small generator (3000 Watt) that I connected to the main panel to power a few lights, the refrigerator and even the TV. Although that was nice, having no AC was a little trying and the pool pump being out had a small affect on the water quality. Now we have the whole house Generac Generator that has been installed and tested. It will carry the whole house including the AC and the Pool Equipment (Heater and all). It is a good feeling to know that if we do lose power again, even for a long period, we will have our own little power supply to keep us comfy, assuming the Storm doesn't destroy the house to the point we can't stay in it! :-(

I have had my whole house generator installed for about 4 months now. I installed it myself and it took some time. I would not recommend installing it yourself unless you have quite a bit of electrical knowledge and hands on experience. So far we haven't had an electrical outage so other than the scheduled automated test cycles it hasn't seen much action. The twin cylinder engine is a beast and a lot more quiet than my portable generator.
