This is my second Generac whole stand by generator. I bought in 2016 and the new one as it has the aluminum housing and it has 5K more power, even I really did not need the extra power. I bought the extended warranty. So far it works just fine – we have only one outage and that lasted about 6 hours. I live in the Houston area and the time we really need a generator are hurricane type events and those can keep the areas powerless for up to three weeks. Before I bought my current home, the neighbors reported to me with we had hurricane Ike in 2008, they were without power for over two weeks. As long a BIG tree does not fall on the unit, I am ready for the next one.

Generac was just installed. Very pleased with the end results. Man . . . who knew the amount of work necessary to have wired into my 200 amp electric box. It was done first class and to inspection standards. Great peace of mind!!! Very quiet running!

We had a few problems getting the propane set up properly. The technician did a great job on the installation and setup of the generator. Once the propane issue was corrected, the test went great and it responds to a power loss immediately. It works great. Very pleased with all aspects of Generac.

I am a little uncertain about the product for now. When they came to start it the motor would run fine but it would not generate any electricity. They now have to call the manufacturer and see what the problem is. They have installed a lot of these and say it is the first to do this. I hope it is something small. I believe once the get it working I will be pleased with it.

The generator has worked flawlessly, but had to call Mobile Link to get that feature enrolled. FYI, the serial number the enrollment form is looking for is that of the generator and the MDN# it wants is the 10 digit number (w/o dashes) on the Mobile Link unit itself. Except for that minor hiccup, we love the generator.

This was our first purchase with Generac and couldn't be any happier with the entire process. From answering questions about the products to receiving delivery, it couldn't have been any smoother. Great value for the price! Generac staff were very helpful and professional!

Really like the product so for. All went well to hook up. Few people in the neighborhood are inquiring about the generator. The disappointment is the WIFI that has an expensive monthly charge after the first year. Will not use that option after the trial is up.

Received the unit in a timely manner, extremely well packed Was installed by me without drama, not the easiest for a somewhat non-qualified amateur but if you have reasonable electrical skills & a bit of common sense along with the willingness to follow instructions (not my greatest trait,, ) ,,,,,,,,,, it's not bad So far so good the only thing it doesn't like is my air compressor but I knew that going in as it draws ±180amps measured on start so is going to need a soft start modification & hopefully that will make it happy.

This is my 3rd home and my 2nd whole house generator. Never had one issue with the installation or operation. When I sold my 2nd home, the whole house generator was mentioned by the buyer as the reason they purchased my home. Value, confidence and security are instantly added.

After SoCal Edison left us without power for 19 days in 2024 and had surges that destroyed our switch panel and side-by-side refrigerator / freezer we updated to the new 10 KW unit with all electronic panel and surge system and new UPS for our computer system. We also added a whole house insurance program and a service / monitoring system / account for our generator. So far we are very happy with our choice to upgrade our system.
