The new zero sugar A%26W is not the same as the old diet A%26W. The formula has changed and not for the better. So disappointing! A%26W you "fixed" something that wasn't broken and in the process lost a lifetime buyer. Old diet recipe tasted so much better!

I always drink diet sodas and I've been really loving the switch from diets to zeros because the zero drinks taste so much better! I can barely even tell this is a zero sugar soda. It tastes so much like regular A&W. Hoping they keep making more zero soda options!

I Would give this a NEGATIVE 5 STARS! I want to cry!! The absolute best root beer on the market is A&W but THEY CAN'T MAKE A ZERO SUGAR ROOT BEER THAT DOESN'T TASTE LIKE FISH TANK WATER!!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, bring back the REGULAR DIET A&W ROOT BEER! At LEAST we know you understand how to make that right!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to try zero sugar A&W Root Beer because I thought, how great would it be to get the same great taste without the calories. In many respects it met my expectations, it has that same great A&W flavor, it tastes sweet, it's easy-going down, and in general, is a great soft drink! The unavoidable truth is that it has the after taste common with diet/low-calorie sodas, which is a deal-breaker for me. If I were looking for a zero-calorie soda to stock my fridge with, this would be it, no doubt, but I can't get past the aftertaste.

I've been drinking A&W for 60 years, that's how much I love it. As a type II diabetic i've been drinking the ZERO SUGAR version and find it comporable to the original, no significant after-taste. My only problem is that in my area the ZERO SUGAR is only available in 2 liter bottles, which tends to go flat over the two to three days it takes to finish it off. If you can offer a one liter version it would be greatly appreciated.

This stuff is amazing. It has a rich lush texture that almost tastes like you’re drinking a chocolatey soft drink. It’s so delicious that I have to monitor the amount that I drink. It’s so tempting to have another glass. I use it as an alternative for a sweet. There is actually no aftertaste and it does not have a diet beverage taste. This stuff is fantastic. I cannot imagine how many taster test they must have had to make this product. A&W you’ve done it!

I have been drinking diet A&W for years. I love it. I just bought the zero and it tastes just like all of the other gross diet sodas. I hope I can find the old diet. Otherwise I’ll stop buying it .I’ve read reviews on this and the company says they haven’t changed it but that cannot be true. The taste is very different.
