Disposable diapers are primarily made of polymers found in other consumer products like clothing, furniture upholstery, food containers, and paper products. The pH of disposable diapers is comparable to the pH of normal skin, meaning that compared to skin, they are neither acidic (low pH) nor alkali (high pH), so they cannot cause a chemical burn. Still, as fellow parents, we understand that every baby is unique, and a baby’s skin can be especially delicate. Sorry to hear you're disappointed with Luvs. Sometimes if the diaper is oversaturated some of the gelling material can come out which is normal. The thing that usually helps is moving to the next size. As the diaper size increases so does the absorbency level. The weight range on the package is only a guide, and the age mobility and eating habits of a baby also play a part. So babies can outgrow the absorbency and containment of diaper before they outgrow how it fits. Hope you'll give Luvs another try!
